I'm from Providence, RI and visited SoCal for 2 months. During those two months I joined Carrillo Muay Thai as a beginner and it was the best experience. Truly for all levels and ages. Amazing coach, amazing group of fighters, and just a welcoming community of people. Coach Jean really means it when he says: NO EGO/NO ATTITUDE - NO CONTRACT/NO FEES Cancelling payment was super straightforward and easy when I needed to go back to Providence.

This place is awesome. Coach Jean is amazing, he is really welcoming and friendly and definitely makes you feel like you’re joining a family. There was absolutely no ego or hostility (just like his website states). I felt kind of bad because I had a lot of questions but they were all answered thoroughly with reassurance that exemplified his knowledge in Muay Thai. The gym immaculate and all of the equipment was properly cared for. The space itself had plenty of room for a full class of people to train. Not only was Coach Jean great but the other patrons that attended his class are all extremely friendly and are all willing to help. In other words this place is incredibly beginner friendly as well as being a great place to train for higher skill levels. Definitely can not wait to continue training here and I would HIGHLY recommend coming here. Not enough praise can be said about this gym.

I couldn't recommend this gym highly enough. Having never done martial arts before, I was so nervous to start. I did tons of research, read reviews, and decided that CMT seemed like a great place to try out. Right when I entered for my first class, Coach Jean and all of the people at the gym were so welcoming and immediately put my fears aside. After my first class, I signed up immediately. Not only is the gym clean, but it is also a perfect spot for people of all experience levels to train. I constantly receive personalized feedback from Coach Jean and I feel like I am in an environment that will help me build a great foundation as a beginner. To top it all off, each class is an amazing workout. If you're thinking about doing Muay Thai in OC, come to CMT!! You won't want to go anywhere else once you do!

Just discovered this treasure, After watching some YouTube videos, exploring their website, and studying other local gyms, I decided to make this place my 10 year old’s gym. My drive is about 30/35 min and well worth the gas. The Coaches are all awesome, very friendly, and welcoming, the location has plenty of parking and is very clean. My son really enjoys the ring and looks forward to training. Jean, is very informative and knowledgeable. Training for my son is three times a week, at first I thought my son was going to be overwhelmed with three day a week practice but enjoys the work out. My son has never been exposed to any kind of fight training and today he’s a week in and his arm, stance and overall positioning has taken a toll for the positive. Thank you Carillo Muay Thai
