Great diner on vermont, great for after hiking Griffith Park, just a few minutes away. Pancakes phenomenal, chili cheese fries, cherry cola refreshing, delicious tuna melts. Love this place 💜❤️

This place was amazing when I was a kid, this is no longer the case. Food was horrible, you know there's a problem when I have to put ketchup on everything. Place was filthy, the dirt on the table was probably there for months. The peach pie was sad, I can make a better one out of canned peaches an some Pillsbury pie crust. It's not House of pies, is It's actually House of Lies.

went here for the first time the other day & it was amazing. good food with big portions & reasonable prices (I got the country fried steak & my friend got the patty melt). classic diner food & vibe, which i love our server was really sweet and helpful and the pies were so good! we got the dutch apple pie, blueberry cheesecake & key lime pie (will say the key lime pie didn't taste like it had any limes in it lol, just a sweet green pie). the apple pie & cheesecake were delicious tho ! will definitely be coming back to this spot

I was really excited to try someplace called “the house of pies”. I love pies of all types and I love retro restaurants! Well, I realized when I walked in that there is a fine line between “retro” and “falling apart and dirty” and unfortunately this seemed to fall on the side of the latter. It was in need of a really good deep cleaning for sure. We decided to get our pies to go and while we were helped quickly there were tables so mad at the slow service, they were coming up to the cashier to complain. The pies were good - not worth going out of your way for.

Of course house of pies because house of lies is a movie and not tgat good as well to even compare to house of pies not even a factor
They sell PIES 2 ways A whole Pie n by the slice A half pie might be more expensive than the whole

At least 5 strawberry creme pies, 2 banana creme pies, and 10 apple pies.
Every one wears a mask. You only take it out when you eat. And the tables are six feet apart.
They do have an impossible burger now. Can order that I believe as a vegan options.

House of Pies is open on Christmas Day normal hours! I believe 6 am they're open...so breakfast time is a yes!
