Came with a group of guys for a bachelor party without a reservation. The staff were very friendly and fast to process our waivers. Since we didn’t make a reservation, we had to wait about 20-30 minutes (no big deal) for a range officer. I believe our instructors name was Mike and he was fantastic. We had experienced shooters and people who have never seen a gun and he was able to adapt his instruction so that we all had a blast. Super knowledgeable, alert, patient and cool dude. We all had a great time and I’d recommend this range to anyone!

Beyond an amazing time, it's the most fun I've ever had at a shooting range. The instructor Eli was extremely careful, clear and concise with her instruction on handling specific weapons. We shot all kinds of weapons and each needed to be handled a little different and I'm happy that the experience is both educational and fun! I definitely recommend coming here, especially if you are new to shooting... the instructors are adaptive to your experience from beginners to advanced. I will definitely be returning here for a 3rd visit and hope to get Eli as my instructor again!

Great gun range for a novice shooter. Extremely professional. This place takes safety to the next level. Ample space. Plenty of inventory. Raging from AR,SMG, handguns, shotgun and hunting rifles. Prices can vary. Our instructor made the experience 100% better. Plenty of parking. I suggest your personal PPE. It can save you a few bucks. Reservations are highly encouraged!!

Great experience. Did a VIP experience for a bachelor party and had a blast. We had 2 guys that were a no show due to COVID but sunsets professionalism allowed us to apply the deposit to the rest of the group. I will definitely be coming here again!

Range is less than 50 yards, you would destroy the backstops. Save your time and leave it home, no public range in NEPA allows that, some places have even banned 338 Lapua
Yes you definitely can bring your own firearm. I am not certain about ammo but I believe you can use your own as well. When you first go there you will need to go through their safety course to be issued a license but then once you have the license (I think) it is only $15 per visit for the rental of the lane. I don't recall the cost of the training/license. I want to say it is $40 but I could be wrong on that.
Yes. We have approximately 100 new handguns in stock for sale. For first time buyers, we offer our Try, Buy & Train program. You can try up to three different firearms and, if you purchase a gun from us, you don't pay for the firearms you shot, and one of our NRA Certified Instructors will spend at least 30 minutes, one on one, teaching you how to safely load, unload and clear that firearm. If you are a PA resident, you must be able to pass the PICS background check. If you are an out of state resident, you must have an FFL (Licensed Dealer) in your home state that we can ship the firearm to. For more info and details on Try, Buy & Train, call us at 570-629-3981.
You can access our waiver on our website at www.sunsetrange.com. You will complete one for yourself and one for each minor. They don't need an ID but you and any other adults should bring valid form of photo ID such as passport or drivers license.
If you are already a member, it's $15 to rent a lane for an hour. Check our website at www.sunsetrange.com for a detailed price list.
Staff is very friendly and helpful over there, they will be glad to answer your questions if you would call or email them
Yes however they must take the safety class ...
Yes, a valid ID is required. A pasdport will no doubt work fine.
Yes
Children 13 years and older can shoot and be trained on long guns (rifles and shotguns) only. Minors under the age of 18 must have an adult 21 years or older to complete their Liability Waiver and that adult must accompany the minor(s) at all times while on our property. No ID is required for minors, however, if your child looks younger than his / her actual age, you may want to bring their birth certificate. Since safety is our number one concern, if your child appears younger than his / her actual age, they may not be permitted to shoot. The Rangemaster or the Store Manager have the final decision on whether a child can shoot.
We do have a few steel targets in some of our Rental Gallery bays but if you are planning to bring your own firearms, there are no steel targets on the Private Member Range
Your Instructor will assist you in taking some cell phones videos, if that's what you mean. Due to the inherent danger of discharging firearms, there are some restrictions.
As long as you have her parent's permission to sign on her behalf.
Yes, normal hours: 10 AM to 5 PM
If you go to our website (sunsetrange.com) and click on "Rent Ours" you can find an awesome video explaining our whole process, along with a downloadable Price List and FAQ's.
Not sure what you need specifically. Please call our Rangemaster at 570-413-8814.

Why don't you give us a call and we can give you all the details. 570-629-3981
We do have some availability but you would need to get here by 4:30.
40 yards
Not as of this time. We do accept walk-ups but I would recommend coming between 10 AM and noon to guarantee you will get in.
We love Tourists! We actually specialize in Tourists and beginner shooters. Each group gets their own Certified Instructor, so you'll have a safe and enjoyable experience. Check our out current list of firearms on our website at www.sunsetrange.com. Under the "Rent" tab, select "Rental Gallery Price List". Hope to see you soon!
If you are bringing your own firearm(s) and shooting on our Private Member Range, you may rapid fire after receiving your Safety Briefing and demonstrating your proficiency with your firearm. The RSO makes the final decision. If you are renting our guns on our Rental Gallery, rapid fire is NOT permitted.
An appointment is recommended but is not mandatory. We use the appointments to facilitate social distancing during the check in process. There is usually still a wait time until you will get to shoot. Appointments get taken before walk-ups. We try not to turn anyone away but we stop shooting by 6:00 PM in order to be a good neighbor and sometimes we can't accommodate all the walk ups.
We operate a little differently than most gun ranges. We do not rent firearms for your use while you're here. You can either bring your own firearms and shoot your own ammo (or buy from us), or you can experience our Rental Gallery. In our Rental Gallery, you are accompanied by a certified Instructor who guides you through our 100+ guns on display. You can shoot one of them, or you can shoot them all! You are charged for the rounds you shoot. A complete price list is available on our website at www.sunsetrange.com. Look for the Rental Gallery Price List under the "Rent" tab.
Yes you are! We allow ages 8 and up but we just need someone 21 or older with the minor to sign them in.
We are NOT Felon Friendly. Any Felonies that would restrict your use of a firearm will keep you from entering the range.
Hello, You can use your own weapon. The only thing is you have to buy the ammo from them. I don't think they charge to use the range. They make the money from the ammo.
Not sure if they fix air pistols though. I know that they have a person there who helps fix problems with guns
They better not have skeet shooting. Enough of us have had our houses hit by bullets from this range without needing bozos shooting up in the air.
Is not cheap ,depending on the weapons that you will shoot or want to shoot, but please ask for Michael or frank these guys will look out for you
Range is about 100 to 150 ft
I am not sure about the age requirement, but they supervise you very closely. They are right next to you when you discharge the weapon.
You pay for the rounds if you use their guns .. not sure how much if you bring your own.
I went with two other people, it was their first time shooting, the time it took us to go from the front door to firing our first few rounds was around 15 minutes
You pay per the weapon but the bullets are included, so if you want to fire a Glock you would pay for the weapon and they give you a set number of bullets in one clip to fire with that weapon.
It depends on your pregnancy honestly and also its usually not recommended to shoot while pregnant since the inhaled lead.
Open to the public. Pay by the shot or weapon and shot. You can also bring your own.
Yes. You can. bring your passport.
Depends on your record usually it's a no for a felony since that gives an almost permanent ban on owning possession or use of a firearm.
Yes
Must have a valid government issued ID, a working arm(s)/hand(s) (preferably all fingers in-tacked), legs are optional but it's good to have, and finally, be able to listen to all instructions and obey all safety commands.
Yes, 13
Minimum age is 13 for rifles. You can bring your own ammo if you are a member and bring your own weapons. If you shoot their weapons you just bring money.
$14 for 9mm
Safety is key at all shooting ranges. Not everyone follows the rules. Instructors are there.
The AK's and AR's are usually around $14 to shoot 7 bullets, thats pretty much the average price. Typically guns that fire higher caliber bullets cost more. Also you dont load/handle the weapons; they load them and put them in your hands, as soon as youre out of ammo they take it back.
Yes
Not worth going there ..find another spot
just go and enjoy. The staff there is very helpful.
All you'll need is ID to show you are over 18 or an adult to accompany you.
You have to be 13 with a parent. Visit their website.
