Want the experience of a small town family-owned diner? Mountainhome Diner is the best local diner in the Poconos, in my opinion. They remember your name, your order, & if they're not totally packed, will sit and chat with you. Both Christine waitresses are a pip: courteous and friendly with a side of quirky. Food is tasty, prices are reasonable, and they are always willing to try and accommodate your special requests. I ordered an eggs benedict without the ham, instead have sausage links on the side, as pictured. Some of the best waffles and eggs benedict in the area! Thank you Etab and Alan for creating such a simple, and friendly hometown atmosphere!

Nice, comfortable space. Good homey food, filling. Nothing exceptional or super flavorful, but good prices. Friendly staff. Seems like a spot for the locals-- nice vibe. Small restrooms--not accessible. Note to new parents: No changing table (in Women's room at least).
