Drove up to see the campground for another trip. Was a little disappointed since it appears that there are significantly more "long-term" residents than weekly/monthly RVs. Place seemed a little run down. Very pretty area and maybe it was just an off day. Hopefully it will get the love and repairs it needs as would be a place we might have liked to stay

Nice location and nice views. The first thing I noticed is the bear statue by the office is missing his arm. Very much in need of some serious updating, as it looks neglected.

This is difficult for me to write, my family REALLY wanted to love this place. My #1 issue is that I am handicapped(I have Multiple sclerosis), we asked if we could have a spot toward the top, even brought in my handicapped card to show them(at first I thought maybe they didn't believe my husband since were "too young" to have a disability...Im 42, hubs is 50, so not exactly spring chickens either)....nope, they're all reserved, a rush of people are coming in tonight(they had 20-30 open sites in the top half), they said it was really going to be crazy busy....ok, I have no reason to doubt them. Yet those sites remain unfilled at 11pm Friday night, the rush has yet to make their appearance. The only sites available to us were tiny sites that were beyond difficult to get in to. I asked my husband if he did something wrong at check-in, these seemed to be the punishment sites(we saw 40 open sites that would have been easier to get in/out of, nope, all full). I am still not sure how I am going to get my 43' rig out of the spot....get in was precarious(like inches from going over a "step" in the mountain and/or taking out the electric box). We were close to asking for our money back & leaving, it was that bad. Again, the park is still only 30% full at 11pm Friday night. My family was so excited for Apple picking, so excited for this campground, we wanted to love it, we wanted to make this an annual getaway location(I am from the Midwest, apple picking is the fall thing to do). We have no problem looking past the neglected maintenance and annual campers(we love full timers, even if they don't move much)....yet as I sit, stuck inside because I cannot get in/out of the camper, seeing all the open sites I could have gotten in/out of, I cannot love it. We do not love losing power constantly when it is 40 degrees in an all elec coach....especially after paying a $4 utility fee(why did we pay that when it's looking like we will need to turn on the generator to have heat overnight) My kids are enjoying nightly drives to look for bears at all the dumpsters. So that part is nice. The staff SEEMS nice, I guess....as long as you don't need a handicapped space-lol. Seriously, it feels like an ADA violation to have open handicapped spots and force us into a spot where I cannot even walk to my car to drive somewhere(the 2' next to our rig is so uneven, I cannot go outside at all, my walker doesn't even fit :-() While this site was only $14/night through RPI, it is far from worth it to me....I could have stayed home and been able to do more :-(

This camp ground need maintain and love. I gave it a two because it’s surrounded by Great little city named Oak Glen. It’s in walking distance of some of the best restaurants, trails and Apple orchards. Electricity went out on us in the middle of the night. Most of the sites have issues with their electricity so make sure you being a surge protector, adapter . And be careful because they do have bears at this park. You must be a member in order to use the pool. Playground need some love and attention and repainting. The altitude is 4000 feet so it stay cool at night. We camped by one of the park rangers he was very nice !

The price varies. I believe they have prices for people who are members and they also have day passes for visitors I'm not mistaken. Feel free to give them a call Monday through Friday during normal business hours somebody should be there to answer your questions. The reason I go there is because I run the laundromat equipment in vending machines

How is the Wifi at oak glen rv? Is there any spots with stronger service§? I want to stay for a week or two , but still need to conduct online business 🤔😏

At the Tavern there is WiFi but it's iffy. Or you can pay $5 a day for WiFi but limited to checking your email.
