Internet and TV have been migrated to a hotel-like service. If these are important to you then this is not the place for you. I'm moving because of it. RESPONSE TO RESPONSE: I think they will eventually get things figured out, but here is my experience so far: Spectrum managed to provide excellent service despite the aged infrastructure. They gave individualized service and provided familiar technology solutions that enabled me to work from home, 450Mbps down and 25Mbps up. I had 2 DVRs and could record shows and watch them at my leisure. I connected 30 devices to the network, including cameras, lighting control, a smart thermostat, and smart doorbell. Project overview: Westmont Living, the parent company of Westmont Village here in Riverside decided to take over the infrastructure from Spectrum. I understand there is some litigation there, but as of now Spectrum Business is simply providing the point of presence at the "gate" and Westmont takes that 1 Gbps connection to their main building. They installed a DirecTV dish on that building and then redistribute it along with internet service to the ~300 independent homes, charging $99 for the bundle. I have no doubt that money savings (for Westmont, not the tenants) is the motivation for this change. How it went: the "migration" began April 30. It's now May 31 and I still do not have usable internet (I'm using a hot spot from work to post this); TV service is 99 channels, take it or leave it. No DVR option as of yet, and no option to upgrade. I called DirecTV and was told I had to contact the reseller, Broadband Hospitality, who redirected me to DirecTV. The hardware installed is for a hotel room, not a 2 or 3 bedroom house. The Wi-Fi signal doesn't make it to the center of the house, and you need to register each device on the network. Think of a hotel where you have to log in with your room number and name. Now do that for each device you have. Fun. Oh, and they limited your devices to 8, ostensibly to reduce the time a technician had to spend with each household helping senior citizens connect their devices. Here are some comments I've heard from the technician on site regarding the migration project: 'We weren't prepared for this project, we didn't know it was such an old infrastructure. All our previous projects have been single building, new construction. ' 'I heard the original plan was to migrate a street at a time instead of all 300+ homes.' I do think there will be a usable solution once all the kinks are worked out; replacing bad underground cables, balancing the signal, and installing appropriate in-home devices. The project management of this migration has left most residents with a bad taste, and I hope those that stay will have better service in the future.

Westmont Village is awesome! Janenne Wingfield took us on a tour of this beautiful community that once housed our military officer's. It has ammenties that's not available anywhere else. Libraries, salt water pool, walking trails, golf course across the road. Homes have an abundance of ammenties, comfort and calm. Maintainance and grounds are included in rent. It is a 55+ active community. They include assisted living and rehabilitation facility on site. Great when I need a knee replacement; I will be at home . Thank you, Janeene for the beautiful presentation. I encourage those who want ever lasting goodness this place is for you and staff is awesome. MM Moreland.

As an employee here I can say that if it ever comes down to me needing a community to stay at for additional care down the road, I will consider living at Westmont. Great location, close to Commissary and BX for veteran folks, and full of attentive staff. P.S I highly recommend Therapy services provided here.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I brought my mom in for a tour before Thanksgiving and was blown away by the kindness of the staff. Keith, the executive director of the facility, took time out of his day to ensure that he met both of us and answered our questions. In today's world of hustle and bustle, that says a lot about the atmosphere and values of an establishment. The cottages and and assisted-living apartments were clean and updated. It's wonderful knowing that my mom has a safe and caring place to move into that's so close to my family's home. She's looking forward to this next chapter instead of feeling anxious about it!

Starts at 1,500 for basic studio apartment and goes up to close to $10,000

Because the whole community has been without basic internet for about a month, what is other options if anyone in this community knows of one because spectrum said they won’t be coming back here for some reason. Now instead of working from home I now have

This is a long ways for companies to come out

You feature 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. Are they separate units (i.e. like a cottage) or are they stacked one on top of another like an apartment building. The 3 bedroom shows 2 cars in a garage and it does not seem to be attached.

I don't know how this came up on my phone but I thought I would respond for you. Westmont Village has a building that has Apartments, many of them are large. They also offer Assisted Living, Memory Care, and skilled nursing in other parts of the building. But what you may have seen are the houses that surround the building. The Gated Community has I believe approx 200 actual houses. Some have a one-car garage and some have a two car garage. My mom has lived in two of the houses. The first one was a duplex and it was two bedroom two bath about 1500 square feet. And now she's in one of the other houses that is 2300 square feet. They have a wide range to choose from. Other than the duplexes the houses are not attached. It's an absolutely beautiful community. It's under new ownership and some of the houses are 30 years old and they're only doing minor upgrades so you have to really look around to find one that works for you. I hope this helps

Do you have 1 bedroom apt available now?
