Qwest doesn't accept my insurance anymore. So, they told me to go find LabCorp. It was on the same plaza, in a different building. I went there without appointment @8AM and there was no line. Quickly and professionally took a lab test. No complaints so far.

This place gives a painful blood test. The tech just jabbed the needle into my arm without straightening out my elbow first. She then proceeded to twist the needle around to get the proper placement in the vein. After that she told me if I bruised it would be due to vitamins I was taking, not that she injured me. This same tech saw my elderly family member a year prior and badly bruised his arm. She is in the wrong field as she doesn't seem to improve over the years.

A total pain in the butt. Made an appointment with the location on Saticoy, phoned when I arrived, they didn’t mention anything about it being in a gynecology doctor’s office. Thought I was in the wrong place and almost left. Phoned again for directions, then they clarified their location. Went to the office, walked in, was told they were having computer problems, something they could have mentioned before, and told me I needed to go to their other site, which is a walk-in site with no appointments. Had to get back in my car and drive to the other site, which put me late for my other appointment. So, I had to check in at a kiosk, another pain in the butt, and then wait for 15 minutes until I was called. The only good experience about Labcorp was that the guy drawing the blood was competent. Avoid this place. Go to Quest Diagnostics instead.

Went to this site, 7301 Medical Center dr., #303 on 10/22/13 with apprehension. I have small, deep veins and have always been a challenge to nurses or technicians drawing my blood. Called the office a day before to ask if they have "sharp shooters." The lady who answered, Valentina, didn't sound confident enough but I went anyways. When I got to the office, Valentina and another technician were at the front desk, and frankly speaking they didn't seem welcoming. The end result, however, more than made up for everything else, because Valentina, my phlebotomist, did an excellent job. I hardly had any bruising. I always have to request for an expert everytime I needed blood drawn and it's good to find another technician who knows how to do the job well. I called the office to thank Valentina. As far as the attitude, I really don't have a problem that they were not friendly or warm. Each person has their own personality, and it is always good to give someone the benefit of the doubt. As long as a person is not rude, there shouldn't be any problem.

I think it's easier and quicker to get in. You never know when it'll get busy. Just call ahead to make sure your doctor request got to them. Sometimes doctors have preferred labs and may not sent to Labcorp. Ask them to do if you're going there.
