Hi Kathy, Great question. The answer is pretty much, yes. If you have a Medical Marijuana ID Card from the state, you will not pay CA sales tax which is 9.5%. You will also save 5% on the City of LA taxes. If you only have a doctor's recommendation, you will pay 5% less tax than a non-patient.
