Signed up for couple months of youth swimming. First month was ok, second month was really bad. The teacher for the lessons kept getting switched around, we never knew who our teacher is - usually found out a min before class time by asking around. Sent multiple messages to Sabrina the coordinator - never received a response. Contacted Ali, the aquatics director, she promised to send me some paperwork and never did. When I inquired on the status, she went quiet. So unprofessional, I expected at least some communication from them. Very disappointed in the pool staff at this ymca and will definitely not sign up for more classes!

The staff at this Y are excellent and very kind. Ben has been extremely helpful with all the questions I have asked him, since I am new to SAC. The pool is lovely and the lady's locker room is huge and very clean. This is a great YMCA.

I used to go when I was younger and now being a member makes it feel real that I'm getting older. It's an overall great place to go, most of the staff have ny name memorised so it goes to show how great they are and how committed they are to making sure everyone is safe and happy. To note, to use the pool you'll have to make a reservation on their website.

Typical YMCA. No frills physical plant, but it's cheap and the pool is clean even if the changing rooms are definitely not. The front desk staff in the main building are clueless. The pool isn't handicap-accessible and there's very little attempt to help folks who require extra physical assistance. The children's center is another thing entirely. Great management, but the counselors at summer camp are young and inexperienced. Well-meaning, certainly, but there is absolutely no training or accommodation made for special needs kids, and they are seriously understaffed. 4 year olds can wander off and get into all sorts of trouble, and they give you no notice - not even 24 hours - when your child is terminated for behavioral issues. That said, some of the staff - Whitney, the counselor/bus driver, and several others - are really dedicated to the kids and are trying to make this a healthy and safe environment. It's just so chaotic that I'm not sure they will be able to. But they are doing their best. It's too bad that they are undone by dozens of young and enthusiastic but totally untrained counselors/caregivers. If you have an older child who is very well-behaved and contained and doesn't need much guidance or structure, though, this could be an excellent choice for after school or summer camp. They do fun stuff and have a big physical plant. The food is decent, and it's affordable.

Check at the front desk and ask for Carmen. She is lovely and will help you.
Does the Y have discounted rates for low income and or disabled people?
Hi Jesus! Day passes are $12 for adults (19+) and $7 for youth (18 and under) and seniors (62+). Be aware you will have to show photo ID and provide contact information at the member services desk upon arrival. Hope this helps! 😊
No spa unfortunately
Yes it will.
I work here. The gym is not free but we do offer a free day pass. There are many pricing plans available depending on age. We also offer reduced prices through our y-assist program
Hi Debbie! Yes, we accept Silver Sneakers at our locations. If you have a regular paying membership at the Y in PA, you do have access to the Sacramento YMCA. If your membership is a Silver Sneakers membership in PA, it does not give you access to Nationwide membership or the Sacramento YMCA.
Yes, they offer group and individual swim classes all year-round

For non-members and with photo ID, showers only are provided to public use for $1 plus $10 deposit which is returned to you upon exiting ..M-F 1pm - 3pm you have 30 minutes time to complete your business ..you must sign in and you must bring your own towel or pay $2 for a rental. It's fast and a great place to get yourself together ..friendly people and lots of kids at certain times but not these times so enjoy yourself and have a great time. Be advised this establishment is gay friendly as you will soon find the men are mostly gay too. Have fun in the showers if your male... Not sure about the female side though.
Yes
Yep there's basketball inside and outside. It seems like there's pick up of some kind in the mornings inside. Never seen anyone play outside but I only go in the mornings
