Great selection of high end road bikes, very friendly service by passionate guys and fair prices. The bike was looking good, but most importantly it rode amazing. Very well maintained and no technical difficulties during the rental period. Not even a flat tire. If I ever need a bike again in Southern California I'll come back to Synaptic Cycles.

My dad and I were looking for a high end bike rental shop for an 80 mile coastal journey to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. As soon as we found Synaptic Cycles we found our starting point! Shawn rented us the gorgeous Masi Evoluzione Ultegras. He was super attentive and awesome. My dad had an amazing experience and best birthday ever!!! Side note: I recommend applying for permits ahead of time to access Camp Pendleton, which we didn't do and ran into issues there.

Shawn and Steve from Synaptic were outstanding. I was debating flying with my personal road bike. The hassle and airline fee for oversize baggage steered me toward finding Synaptic. Called less then a week before flying into LA and Shaun helped with picking the right bike for the week. Bike was top notch (nicer then my 3 y.o. Emonda at home), tuned perfect, and fit was perfect. They even had a Wahoo mount installed. Steve was in contact when we got to LA , stayed in touch, delivered and picked up the bike at our hotel on time (actually showed up 5-10 minutes early) quite impressive with LA traffic. These folks know their business and cater to their customers.

I can’t recommend this company enough. I traveled cross country to participate in the Newport dunes cal tri (for my first triathlon) and was really nervous with renting a bike and the logistics. Synaptic cycles made everything a breeze. They delivered me the bike to the race the day before, brought me multiple helmets to try on, and even brought me a lock at request for free. I had no idea what kind of bike or size I wanted so I gave them my weight and height and Aaron took the time to rent me out the nicest bike I’ve ever been on. Not only did they deliver me the bike, but they had me ride it around to make sure it was a good fit and taught me how to use the brakes and gears. I was initially supposed to have the bike picked up at a time cutting close to when I was aiming to get to the airport for my flight out, so I contacted Aaron to see if they could possibly get out earlier and Aaron promptly responded saying the driver would be to me in 10-15 minutes. The driver (who i thinks name was maybe Steve?) asked me about how the race went and everything. They really want to get to know their customers. These guys are the absolute GOATS.
