Trinchero wineries continue to be among the worst practitioners of sustainable agriculture and continue to engage in the worst kind of "Greenwashing." They are among the largest users of pesticides and synthetic chemical inputs in Sonoma and Napa counties. Pesticide use in these two counties have been linked to increased cancer rates in children (Napa and Sonoma counties have the highest rates of childhood cancer in the state). Their Sutter Home brand recently had the honor of testing highest in traces of Round-up (Glyphosate ) among all brands tested. Not one of their local wineries is certified organic. They routinely still till all their vineyards, which contributes to soil erosion, pesticide runoff and C02 emissions (routine tilling of soil is a major contributor to climate change and the resulting wildfires we've all experienced more frequently over the last decade). Trinchero routinely fence their vineyards choking off critical wildlife corridors. Studies have shown there is no need for fencing vineyards (French vineyards, for example, are never fenced) Trinchero is also the worst Green-washing offenders (just watch, one of their PR people will respond to this review with gobbledygook about "fish-friendly" farming and other fake "eco-friendly" programs created by corporate interests to appear concerned about their environmental and public health impacts). Nothing Trinchero does is for public or environmental health -- it's all for profit. Do not support them.

Ethan was our host and I am not exaggerating when I say that my experience at Trinchero was the epitome of hospitality. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so welcome and comfortable, Ethan is a terrific host and my time at this vineyard was the best experience I had during my time in Napa & Sonoma. Stunning property and buildings inside & out, Ethan was a wealth of knowledge. I should’ve taken notes. Thanks again, I’d definitely love to return.

Trinchero is among the worst offending corporate wine producers in Northern California regarding chemical inputs in their vineyards They're owned by Sutter Home). All their vineyard managers are notorious over-users of the worst herbicides, pesticides and fungicides out there. They are dousing the landscape with no regard for consumers (who will get traces of glyphosate in their wine), the environment and the community. Ask them to be better stewards of the environment and boycott their wines until they do!

Went with my girlfriend and had a little tour around the place before our wine tasting and cheese. Had such a great time, our host (her name started with an A) was very kind and knowledgeable about the winery and area. Will definitely return.
