Just got a puppy from here this year. Super helpful staff and its really nice to know that the animals are going to good homes that come through here with their foster to adopt program.

We found our sweet little puppy at at Mendocino Humane Society. The staff were so helpful and informative and made the foster to adopt process very easy. The kennel area was big and the love of the animals radiates through the whole place. I highly recommend them if you are looking to adopt a pet.

The people here do a fantastic job of caring for the animals and finding new homes for them. They need more volunteers to get to a 5 rating. You have to be patient to get to talk with them; thus the need for more volunteers. I was only donating supplies, and waited awhile before I could find out where to put them. This is a well managed facility; they are simply understaffed.

Super nice staff, I got to leave with a new best friend!! They really are nice people, and answered all my questions. I would 100% recommend friends and family to go there!

Do you have special needs dogs for adoption? And the general fee for adopting? Thank you for your response.
Hi Arline, please visit our website: www.hsimc.org and check out all of our adoptable cats and kittens! Adoption fees are $100 which includes: spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines and treatments up to the time of adoption.
If you are looking for spay and neuter assistance, please contact Care-A-Van at 707-463-4427 for an appointment. They are having spay/neuter and vaccine clinics on June 21st, July 19th and August 16th but you'll need an appointment.
Hi Monica! Here are our adoption fees: Kittens/Cats: $100 Puppies: $225 Adult Dogs: $195 All animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. You can find more information on our website here: https://mendohumanesociety.com/about-adoption Thank you for reaching out!
It is my understanding that you have to surrender at plant Rd. But contact the humane society to verify that.
That location is in Humbolt County. Please contact the local Sheriff and Animal Control. I hope they can help you! Thanks for caring!
