Beautifully maintained farm!! I have never seen a farm so neatly kept and animals so clean. I didn’t see a single bit of manure which was impressive. Animals are extremely well taken care of. Owners provide a “u-pick” garden which is awesome and fresh eggs in your kitchen. Also some really fun statues and sights for children to find as they hike around. Great location and set up for a family with young children. Only suggestion would be to stay in the newer cabins (I.e dog house, eagle, etc.) we stayed in deer run and it was a great space but there were mouse problems. Owner was responsive and works to fix it just is the nature of an older cabin. My daughters loved this place and asked if we could live here!

The area is beautiful and the grounds and cabins are beautiful. We loved all the animals and the cute little garden area for guests. The hiking trail on the grounds are well maintained and clean. Our cabin however was not the cleanest. The ac didn't work very well and the cabin stayed around 84 degrees in the day time. There was mouse droppings all over the bed when we went to go to sleep. The mice got into our food every single night. We ended up having to toss cookies, full loaves of bread and bags of chips. There was droppings in the bathroom counter top on our toothbrushes (Gross) and all over the kitchen counter top. To top it off as I was pulling out cookware from under the stove we found a mouse nest. We had been cooking with that cookware the entire stay. My sister in law got extremely sick after the first night we stayed. Vomiting and diarrhea. This morning as we were leaving I found a rather large roach in the bathroom. I think it might have been a water or wood roach as it had wings. Also the pull out bed is not a bed it is springs inside a mattress cover. My husband and I had to sleep on the couch by pushing it together. Not comfortable! Either way for the amount of money you have to pay to stay at the cabins you should not have to deal with pests and you should be able to feel comfortable. Instead we found we were uncomfortable and grossed out most of the time. We will be coming back to the area but not back to these cabins. FYI the owner is aware of the problem with the mice and is still renting the cabin and didn't bother saying anything to us until I told him about how bad they were.

I booked a cabin for the weekend and paid in full totally excited about my stay. However my son was involved in a very bad accident the Wednesday before and I notified them that I didn't have a choice to cancel or better yet just postpone my stay. I understand the cancellation policy but with my son in hospital we couldn't go. And so I'm hoping/praying they will let use my weekend at a later date. Will rate at that time. Fingers crossed. My son and I were so looking forward to it. Update: Steve emailed me and they are willing to let me reschedule or will refund me minus the deposit! I'm opting for reschedule! Thank you so much!!!

The Rim Rock Dogwood Cabins are a great bargain. All the amenities, you can walk to the Pound's Hollow area and trails at Garden of the Gods, and a short drive to two dozen plus natural and historical areas. It's like going back in time and seeing what the land was long ago. The cabins have excellent HVAC, screened porches, you can glam camp it up or dress it down as rustic as you like. Everything was clean, organized, and in good working order. We've stayed here when it was 105° and 5°, and enjoyed ourselves immensely. If you're a hunter, hiker, rock climber, or fishing enthusiast, it's all here, and there are multiple cultural, historical, and archaeological sites with a half hour, from ancient shelters and petroglyphs to Revolutionary War and War of 1812 sites. Can't recommend the hospitality of these cabins enough.
