We joined a Credit Union because we thought it'd make it easier to get their generally better rates on cars motorcycles & home loans. Turns out even if you have outstanding credit and are members they still stip (proof of income, proof of residence, etc) you like crazy. We refinanced our motorcycle and eventhough I have the same income from when I bought it they asked for proof of income, when I brought a pay stub they said they needed my offer letter, when I provided my offer letter they said they needed my pay plan. I guess a month of pay stubs and a letter saying my draw pay is on the 15th & last day of the month isn't enough to prove anything. We've also had multiple holds on our money for depositing too much in 1 day. And they've had to send my husband a new ATM card because information was stolen from their offices.

You do not need an account with us to cash a check, as long as it’s written off of an RCU account. We do ask that you bring your current government-issued ID as well.
You can open an account on our website of in person at a branch. To streamline the process, please have these available for each person on the account: Social Security number and date of birth for all account holders, phone number, email address, physical U.S. address, debit card or account information for funding new account(s).

Our ATMs aren’t equipped to accept coins. Coin machines are available inside our Fourth Street branch in Santa Rosa and our Cloverdale branch. Otherwise, you can deposit rolled coin at any RCU branch (up to 10 rolls per month free). Thanks!
