I come in here multiple times a week, sometimes multiple times a day. There’s usually new cashiers and kitchen workers every couple of months/weeks and because of that, the service fluctuates a lot. A good amount of the experienced/OG employees are always exceptionally following good customer service code. Management cares a lot and they’re very kind people but I feel like the vibe of the store is just too chaotic to control sometimes. It’s not necessarily hygienic either. Even when I come in at 2am, the drink counter is still dirty and not stocked? It’s like this 70% of the time. You’d think that a store being dead for several hours the staff would get bored and actually look over the store and clean the place. I’ve worked in customer service enough to understand mistakes, lack of knowledge, lack of stock, not caring enough, etc, so I usually can care less but like, I just can’t understand why someone’s sweeping the parking lot but not cleaning the counter (but yay, environment and stuff..). Donuts are kept fresh, of course they get old but they never let them go stale. Fried chicken is always too salty and greasy but my family always gets a pack because it’s apparently really good. Wait time fluctuates and tickets are easily forgotten/lost/unattended to, like, a lot of the time. I’m sure most of the staff have been trained to know how to put two scoops of chicken salad in bread and know how to use a toaster, but I’m also sure that some people are assigned solely to kitchen shifts usually only at day time and thus, disorganization arises when it comes to night time (even though in the day time it’s still disorganized). It’s always, loudly, “Bro, did you do this ticket yet?” ten minutes after placing an order with the customers directly in front of them but from what I’ve observed, everyone seems to have a silent mutual thought that it’s a convenience store and not a restaurant so most people are usually patient and understanding (from what I usually see when I’m in there). Royal Farms in general though is very, very cheap for decent to amazing drinks and the menu prices are either normal or cheap but the value of a reeses is $3, I can get 3 large slushees with that 😭. Icecream is $8-9 for a pint of bougie talenti icecream and $7 for a tub of the cheapest brand of icecream that at a grocery store, is $4 for TWO of the same brand/tub with a rewards membership. It’s also an ALWAYS 24/7 convenience store (the “24/7” seven elevens and mcdonalds always close early) with okay menu options/food. I would rate it 2 stars but like, it’s convenient and chill lol. If I need tobacco or craving a slushee/sandwich in the middle of the night, it’s less than two minutes away or a 15 minute walk. It has the bare minimum necessities for last minute buys (like milk or car oil or whatever home stuff they sell). It’s really nice in the morning too, grab a cheap coffee (creamers are nicely varied) and a quick bite.

Normally I prefer a positive review, but the lunch service was complete chaos. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to get a 2 piece chicken box, sorry.

The drink area is always filthy. Mildew on the slushy machines ……
