This is the honda civic of Merrit gyms. Its not overly pretty, not particularly full of the coolest machines, but it gets the job done and won't let you down. 24/7 gym with everything you need minus sweat rags, what else could you want.

I really enjoyed my time here at the Cranbrook location. The staff was always kind and helpful. I accidentally left my membership active for 7 months. Somehow it stayed hidden from my bank account and I didn't realize how much money was taken out overall. When I call the billing department just to see about a possible refund. I spoke to Alicia Jones and she must have been the most rude person Ive spoken to. I'm a very understanding guy yet I was dealing with some financial difficulties hoping for the possibility of a refund. She came across with a very bad attitude when I requested for possible compensation. She showed no empathy for my situation and was very insensitive. Based on that I will never return to this gym again and never renew my membership.

Wrote an extensive email to management about how unprofessional the manager at this location is (Katie). Waiting to hear back. Members be aware. Extremely poor customer service by Katie. …We do not allow guests in our club during non-staffed hours. Katie just happen to still be there and stopped your friend from bringing a non-member guest in after hours. 24-hour access is only for members and guests cannot access the club free during non-staffed hours. Katie was just a little more stern with your friend because we have had numerous incidents of this member bringing in guests when the club is closed to non-members.

Katie was extremely rude to a friend and I upon walking in the club. Edit: I see the owner has responded. Both, my friend and I are members at the …Guests are not permitted in the club during non-staffed hours. We do not permit members to scan in using someone else's barcode and then let their friends into the club for free when the club is not staffed. Katie just happened to be there during off hours and prevented this from happening. These are the club rules that are clearly posted on our door.
