My name is Terry Short and I am a patient of Dr. Prieto. About six months ago, in the middle of the night, I somehow tweaked my neck. I don't know how I did it but I woke up with a sharp pain in my shoulder. I thought it would be fine in the morning, but it wasn’t fine. I couldn't move my neck and I could hardly walk. The pain was coming from my neck and down my right arm and into my fingers. I couldn't hold anything and I could hardly move. I called Dr. Prieto’s office and I was able to get in to see him that afternoon. Dr. Prieto looked at me and said he needed to take X-rays. After reviewing the x-rays with me, he said he needed an MRI. I realized this was going to be more than a simple neck adjustment. The results on the MRI weren’t good. Dr. Prieto showed me the images on his computer and explained everything to me. There were 5 discs with problems and I asked Dr. Prieto to explain my options. I knew I didn’t want surgery. I assumed I had some kind of pinched nerve and Dr. Prieto said he had therapy that would help my neck issue. He was thorough and very diagnostic in his approach so I decided to give it a try. He put me on the spinal decompression machine and it didn't hurt at all. It was gently separating the discs in my neck and I didn't feel a thing! I did this therapy about 3 days a week for a couple of months and then I went down to 2 days a week and now I'm down to one day a week. The pain on my right side is completely gone and my neck is better. I am not feeling that nauseating pain anymore. Also, as a senior citizen you worry about losing your balance or falling. I had been feeling a little ‘off ‘and my balance was a problem for me. I felt my compressed neck might have had something to do with my balance issue. While I was going through the decompression treatment I got my balance back, and I could start playing the piano again. The piano requires a lot of hand movement and eye coordination and my balance issue had been making it hard for me to play. So I'm just really excited that I'm pain free and that I can do the things that give me joy. I just know that everyone has choices on how they want to deal with their injuries… whether it's surgery or whatever…as no one wants to deal with the pain. This was a good natural choice for me and I really appreciate Dr. Prieto and his staff for taking such good care of me. This is a long story but it has a happy ending. That’s my story and I am forever grateful. Thank You, Dr. Prieto!

I am pleased to say Dr Prieto has been 100% from diagnoses to referrals since my accident Sunday 1-17-21. I had a fall and I injured my back. 1-18-21 I called Dr Prieto and my long standing pain management doctor. The only call I got back was from Dr Prieto. I was seen and evaluated by him that afternoon and he took X-ray, had them read by a radiologist and he put in an order for a MRI.1-19-21 had a telahealth visit with my pain management PA and she agreed that I needed a MRI. Had my MRI 1-25-21 that confirmed my fractured vertebra L1. Dr Prieto recommend going to Dr Carlson spinal orthopedic and was seen 2-1-21. At that time I finally get a call from pain management office to schedule my MRI. I was very irritated as I was leap years ahead in the process thanks to Dr Prieto. I was scheduled for outpatient surgery Kyphoplasty and my intense pain was reduced from a 7-8 to 2 on the pain scale 1-10. I’m so grateful for Dr Prieto attentiveness and recommendations that truly made a difference. I would trust him with my life and I’m extremely satisfied with my outcome!! Karen

When I first saw Dr Prieto I was in horrible pain - the worst ever. I was worked on by another chiropractor three times but I was not able to get relief. After my very first visit Dr Prieto was able to relieve the pain to a bearable level. By the third visit I was without pain. By my fifth and final visit I felt better that ever. Dr Prieto is extremely professional a knowledgeable. He assessed my particular situation and then was able to map out a plan specific to my recovery. His office is very peaceful and follows all CDC guidelines for COVID-19. I highly recommend Dr Prieto for any chiropractic needs.

Came to Dr Prieto for a pinched nerve and bulged disk s in my neck. I must admit I was very skeptical at first since I had a few doctors tell me the nerve pain and tingling sensation was just something I would have to learn to live with or have surgery to correct. Dr Prieto went slow, and after a few visits I started feeling better rather quickly. I have just finished my 21st visit I have vertically no pain and my symptoms are almost 100 percent gone. I would highly recommend the Decompression treatment with Dr. Prieto.

What dose Spinal Decompression mean?

Spinal decompression is a treatment designed for people who experince lower back or neck pain that stems from problematic discs in the spinal column, such as herniated discs, degenerated discs, bulging discs, causing arm or leg pain(sciatica). Spinal decompression can also be helpful in cases where there is a relapse after back surgery, patients suffering from spinal stenosis or facet syndrome. Spinal decompression is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure that has lower risks or side effects as compared to spinal surgery risks and side effects. The mechanics of the DRX 9000 spinal decompression table is designed for an easy and pain free treatment. The way the DRX 9000 spinal decompression works is by a minuscule pulling force that essentially causes a negative pressure to "suck or draw" disc material back into place, reducing the disc herniation or bulge and taking pressure off of the spinal nerves.

Was there ever a patient with stenosis and spondylolisthesis treated and what was the result?

Yes we have treated patients with both conditions, however are you talking about central canal stenosis or lateral femoral stenosis? Also it depends on the degree of spondylo, is it a grade 1, grade 2, grade 3 or grade 4? I would be able to give you more info after knowing what level your condition is in. If you want further info you can have a consult with me.
