Saw Thor:Love and Thunder here, and it was a really good experience! I was a bit disappointed to discover that they don't serve food from the kitchen in the "Backstage" theater, but there were great beers on tap and the popcorn was excellent.

It's a great theater, even if the screens are limited (2, one big one and one small one). Their concessions are also a bit confusing. When we went recently they only had one size of popcorn (small) even though the menu had two listed. I would have liked a bigger size. The seats are also a bit uncomfortable. You have to constantly push backwards to keep the chair from leaning forward. But the building is a great piece of history, and the star cieling definitely adds to its mystique.

New in town and was told this was a place to check out. Was hesitant because a lot of the reviews, especially the negative ones, were met by passive aggressive responses, and that's usually a bad sign. Pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a very welcoming and accommodating team who must really care about the place. Clean, good service, good architecture. Film Fest movies, though, so will be back to check out something that doesn't make me want to kill myself.

I used to go there all the time as a kid and I'm thrilled that it was restored back to its former glory. The seats are comfortable and I love that they have trays built in and have food service delivered to your seat. If you're in Bay View, definitely pop in to catch a movie and enjoy the atmosphere.

Sorry we tried to get it. Unfortunately we did not prevail. However, Fantastic Beasts comes out on a Wednesday. Nutcracker and Bohemian starts on Friday.

Great question, there is an elegant restaurant ( Mistral) attached to the theater that allows you to enter into lobby of Avalon and your able to take your beverage with you. When we watch a movie we arrive 45 minutes early to pick our seat then go the restaurant.
