I visited the lash lounge in Metuchen about a week ago for my first lash lift. I have very thick and long lashes so I know they are capable of a dramatic look in which I asked for and showed two clear reference photos. I had done some research online prior to my visit and asked for an "L" curl which is dramatic like I wanted. The lash tech said "no, you don't want that its too dramatic." Although she was nice, I didn't feel it was her place to tell me what I wanted. I figured being the professional , she knew what she was doing. As I suspected, when she showed me my lashes they were nothing like I wanted. One eye wasn't even curled at all. The other was a very natural look. Im in customer service so I wasn't going to complain or write a review. However, when I received a text the next day to follow up, I told them how I felt and didnt get any message back whatsoever. I found that extremely unprofessional to offer me nothing and even worse, ignore it completely.

I do not recommend. Place smells like the sub shop next door, employees talk badly about each other, and products are not good/expired. I went for a lash lift in March. My stylist was very polite to me but was talking to another stylist the entire time I was getting my lashes done. She went on to talk about how the products were not good, the management is terrible, and the other stylists are not friendly. They even began to clean the lash products with acetone. I left telling the front desk lady that I was not happy with my lashes, as one side was completely curled and the other was not. She said to come back in a few weeks to get them fixed, free of charge. I come back to get my lashes fixed today by a different stylist, as my previous stylist was let go from the company. I walked in, waited to be taken back, and saw my new stylist. The employees did not seem happy because the system was down, which I completely understand, as I work front desk at my job as well. However, my new stylist did not even greet me and gave me nasty looks. I ended up walking out because I did not feel comfortable getting my lashes done by a stylist who would not even greet me. I have had other issues with lash lifts before and did not want to have any other issues. I called immediately after to talk to the front desk lady. She lost her patience over the phone and blamed me for walking out. I did not bother fighting and did not ask for a refund. All I say is beware and try to find another salon in your area before picking the Lash Lounge of Metuchen.

When I first called and spoke to someone, I told them I had very little eyelashes and asked if I could get extensions. They told me they would try to work with what I have. When I got to the office, I paid upfront and they ended up not being able to do the extensions and they would not give me a refund.

Hi Christian, unfortunately our location does not offer microblading.
We use Silk and Mink lashes, both of which are Synthetic.
Hi Elaine, lash extensions generally last 2-3 weeks - that is when we recommend coming back for a refill. We do offer mink lashes as a $15 upgrade.
