People were very friendly and apt. was easy to set up online. I was really surprised on how much they required for info.(Not sure if you would consider this a down side or not, but I chose to see this as a good thing.)We are new to the state so it was pretty extensive.

I moved from Tennessee , and I got a few questions and dmv offices here in VA phones are always busy with only one phone number. I'm still paying on a car I purchased from a dealer in Tennessee how do I get tags switched to Virginia..

Go to the dmv in va. Show your presently held registration on the vehicle, show proof of address you currently live at., which is usually electric bill etc. If it's in your name that is. About 3 proofs such as letters and bills and so on.and proof of identity such as drivers license. And proof of insurance on it. I heard you have to show proof of insurance now too. Hope this helps you.

Do i have to schedule an appt for my son to take the driving (road) course version of the drivers license test. He is home schooled and has completed every requirement EXCEPT the road course with a DMV employee. We are going to dmv tomorrow.

As far as I know, no, appointments aren't necessary. It might be a long wait, but there should be someone there to administer the road test at all times.
