The trail map was completely useless; flat out wrong. It was not at all clear where the hiking trail started from the parking lot. I had written to the Mendham Parks & Req rep a few days before but got no response. Ended up ruining what should have been a pleasant date with my wife.

Not really a swimming destination. Try lewis morris park for a lake/pond with swimming
