I rather not give this apartments any points. These are the worst apartments in San Francisco that are NOT affordable and OLD. all appliances old, mildew windows and doors, old heating systems. The maintenance well what they call maintenance is horrible. Most of the apartments have OLD Paint, old cabinets, and we should not forget the old bathroom tubs and toilets they have installed. They actually need to be reported to City and County for all there negligence to these apartments.

So I was put in this complex in a furnished apartment while on a travel assignment for work. You couldn’t pay me to live here again. I typically don’t complain much, but when there are plumbing issues and the facilities aren’t working as they should, they always give another number to call maintenance and then maintenance never answers the phone. I’ve had to make so many personal calls on things the apartment should be taking care of, but it’s so much more of a hassle to try to contact the apartment than to just fix it myself (toilet leaking, washing machines not working, water not draining, etc).

We've had three straight days of no hot water. Service requests have been submitted each day. Today, 2/11/22 is day 3. And that is not it: I live on the 3rd floor and the elevator in my building have been down for well over a year. While I am fortunate to be able to handle carrying garbage and laundry to the garage 4 floors down, we have elderly tenants on the 3rd floor that I am very concerned about. The building I am in is not ADA compliant as there are no ramps from the street to the 1st floor. There was a fire in the building last summer at 1am. Everyone was evacuated, 5 fire departments were lined up along Poncetta Dr. There was no notice from management about what had happened. I spoke with another tenant who told me they went to the hospital for smoke inhalation. ONE YEAR LATER, there was a flyer about not having certain cars parked on/near the premise. Did this cause the fire? Who knows? This is my 5th year as a Westlake Village tenant. I asked for a reasonable decrease in rent, citing my timely payments, good credit, all instances described above and overall poor upkeep of the building. The leasing office followed up with a phone call offering a different unit in a different building, and did not provide a solution to moving out without an elevator. Go figure. I can't wait to leave. You do not want to live here.

Worst place to rent, I understand this complex has to pay for maintenance and all these other services but these apartments are too expensive to start with, and when it comes to your deposit, they screw you over. We left this place clean, even rented a carpet cleaner, cleaned the fridge, deep cleaned everything only thing we left and didn’t move was the fridge and stove. And they still had it their way and took more than half our deposit? $354 to clean what, the walls outside the apartment? Seriously these guys are horrible, highly suggest you look for better apartments.
