Clearly the latest reviews were a GROUP, and of 6 no less, on a prime golf day/time, who had inexperienced people along. We were delayed due to the above in our own play! When new owners take over, they are working from what it was left as and takes time to recover the grounds. Have some patience and be kind- giving poor reviews because you couldn’t follow etiquette is just ridiculous!! Friendly staff as always!

The course was in disrepair and the bridges were on the verge of collapse. There was only one functional sandpit and the golf carts were dirty. The rental golf bags had a random mishmash of clubs in them. The lawns were poorly kept and full of mushrooms, and the greens around the holes were barely green and were full of patches of missing grass. The worst part however, was the owner. He was extremely rude to my party, yelling at us for being "late" and telling us to "hurry up" when in reality we arrived on-time but the registration process took a lot of time. The owner then followed my party throughout our experience and kept an eye on us, making us all extremely uncomfortable and disrupting our play. He kept staring us down and telling us to "hurry up'" throughout our 18 holes despite us not even putting on half of the holes and completely skipping some holes completely because we felt so rushed. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful though and clearly loved their jobs. Especially an older man who gave good banter and encouragement to me and my party from time to time.

Bass & Bullets

A good price and not very crowded on a Monday afternoon. People are very friendly, some greens are nice and others are patchy. Bunkers and cart path are in very bad condition. A nice layout with some fun holes.

I played Donegal Highlands Golf Course this morning and was pleasantly surprised. The course was in very nice shape. They are working on several of the bunkers and that’s evident. The rest of the course was great. Good tee boxes, nicely maintained fairways and the greens were great. The staff was awesome, some of the nicest I have ever encountered. It’s a great value and a great location. I read several of the horrible reviews before going and was skeptical, I am so glad I went and saw it for myself. The Donegal Highlands team is doing a great job restoring the golf course and I will definately go back.
