I have been seeing the same primary care physician for close to 30 years and he is awesome! My problem is I can never seem to get an appointment. They don’t want to see you if you are sick. While I understand that there are risks involved with COVID-19 we are wearing masks, being vaccinated, home testing is available… With all of these safeguards in place I don’t understand why they are unwilling to see sick patients, even when they have tested negative for Covid within the last week. There was a time when someone from my care team would call me and insist that I go in to be seen because they were worried about the symptoms I was having or a test result. They used to say that they have extended and weekend hours to keep their patients out of the urgent care, but now I guess urgent care IS my primary care physician 🤷♀️

Horrible and condescending reception staff, specifically Dorthy. Basically, Covid has ruined healthcare as we know it. If you’re sick in any way, shape or form, you are no longer able to be seen by the practice. However, if you’d like be seen virtually for the same price you can go that route. There’s nothing better then a long distance diagnosis where a Dr can’t physically see or touch you. Check your ears, look down your throat, check your vitials, nothing. How does this make any sense? How many healthy, ailment free people go visit the Dr? Typically it’s people who are sick. And I’m sorry but a sore throat and stuffy nose is the symptoms of way more then just Covid. Until 3 years ago, those symptoms were probably 80% of the reason people went to see their family Dr. Now you are banished until you can prove it’s not the vid. People end up needlessly suffering from these asinine policies. If masks actually worked, if social distancing actually worked, if vaccines actually worked you shouldn’t have to wait days to get a negative Covid test and remain sick before you can go to a Dr. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. But because of Karen…I mean Dorthy, and the fact that apparently Drs here are scared to see sick people anymore, I will be finding a new family Dr. And if any other practice operates under these draconian, moronic rules, then I suppose Urgent Care will be my provider going forward. Covid has gotten to everyone’s head, it’s really sad that Drs are still following the junk science that has been proven to be junk. Lock downs, masks and social distancing do nothing to stop the spread. Honor your oath and treat people who are sick and in need of care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Louis Bonavita for many years. He is very caring, easy to confide in, has a great bedside manner and is always deeply dedicated to my care. He listens to my concerns and cares about how I am feeling about certain procedures and health issues. I feel very comfortable trusting his diagnoses and what he feels is best for me in regard to medications and medical procedures. I honestly don't know what I will do when he retires one day because I'll never find another Dr. B anywhere!
