Found a kitten on Petfinder at this shelter and had the best experience! Carolyn is the nicest and most caring person I've ever met. She made sure the adoption went super smooth and answered all my questions. Great communication, amazing staff, and the animals are in excellent care.

One of the best places to adopt ever! The staff is extremely friendly, and knows each of the animals very well so they are able to figure out what the best home is for the pet you’re looking for. I’ve adopted two dogs from them and I was happy that they did a thorough check to make sure my home was right for the dogs before I did! They also are always happy to answer questions and provide any resources you need. Volunteering there brings me so much joy, and you are able to see all the amazing things that the staff do to keep these animals happy and healthy before finding their forever homes.

What a great local animal shelter that takes the best care of the cats & dogs in their care. All animals are and fixed, microchipped and current on vaccinations before they’re adopted. Highly recommend!!

I was told they bought property at the south endr of Bell Road. I am not sure.

What if you have a dog you are wanting to find a good home for but are wanting to not surrender to the shelter. We would like to find him the best forever home but would like to meet whomever may want him personally and make sure can meet his needs.

They still might help. When we had one cat trying to kill one of our others, I met them in a pet store and asked for help. They didn't have room in the shelter but they hosted him on Petfinder until they did. It was several months. We kept him separated until then. They might make a similar arrangement. It can't hurt to ask them.

How old do you have to be to volunteer

Do you accept rabbits? We have had hopper 2 years he is trained in going to potty in cage very smart. He is a great pet but we have too much going on to care for him anymore he is a joy to have & he has learned so much. He knows when feed time is.
