Always beautiful any time of the year. Bring some bug spray and enjoy. Great for biking or nice walks. If your into Geocaching there is a ton of them around!!

Wonderful walking and biking trails! When I went the discovery center was closed, but the wetlands still had many visitors just there to enjoy the trails. Many opportunities to see awesome birds and other prairie wildlife

I am beyond amazed by this place. My only regret is never having been there before. Also not stopping at a bathroom before going here. The facilities were closed due to the holiday.

Took the kids here and walked the diagonal trail over Labor Day weekend and had a good time. There’s cool trails and lots of informative checkpoints about the wildlife in the wetlands. We saw lots of birds, frogs, small fish, some snakes and there’s even some bee hives. Regarding the bee hives I will state that they are occupied with live hives and not to approach them! Overall had a good time and the kids had fun, I would recommend this to anyone wanting to experience a little of Kansas nature.

No fishing or hunting allowed.
The herons, red wing blackbirds and purple martins are always around. Not much migratory action yet.
