Used the space to play some games just me and my bro, we didn't notice it was closing and my bro lost his wallet and the security was so polite in giving us time to find it. They gave us plenty of time but we believed someone snagged it while we were invested in our game. Great friendly staff, really appreciate the kindness.

The Library is an amazing place to see and visit. All your questions answered. Full use of computers. Great kids and teen area.

Really beautiful library that used to originally be a bank. They have a movie theater were the bank Vault used to be , and they have a nice rooftop!

The library has a plethora of security guards, and is very quiet and safe. There is free wifi for use as well as many tables for use, different events and displays to view. The outside of the building is a great place to take a photo with the walls decorated as classicc novels. The outside of the library also has turf to take your dogs to go potty, and a bike rack. ☆☆ please click the "helpful"👍button if my review has been helpful for you ☆☆

They are PCs so I doubt it
It was originally built to be a bank, and was still used as a bank up until the library bought the building. The vault is now a movie theater.
Having been there it's pretty easy to answer...they do their best ensure the library is available and usable by everyone, but yes there are some issues. Just be aware of your surroundings.

Any of the branches of the Kansas City Public Library can renew your card privileges. They do require you to walk in.
Central does not, but the Southeast branch at 63rd and Swope Parkway has a recording studio that we put in last year. I'm not sure how scheduling works. If you call, they will be able to give you details.
Its open for technology use only with a reservation. You need to hold books on the library's website. Once you arrive at your branch, you call the number provided at the door and an employee will bring your books out.
Open from 9 am to 5 pm Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day
No! This would be like returning a flashlight you bought at Walmart to Target. (Wish we could, though.)
I see nothing on the library website about an event for Did De Los Muertos
I've been there lots of times without a card and they've always been happy to validate the ticket. Have a great time there!
Yes.
If you face the main door on 10th St, turn to the right and go a bit farther. There will be a door on that same front side with an elevator just inside that goes up to the main floor. It says Savings in the rock over that door.
There is a book search available on their website here: https://www.kclibrary.org/books If they don't have it, there is also a way to request from another library/location.
Yes, it is on the West side of the building, but I do believe you will have to step out of your vehicle to make the drop off.
Yes and yes
During tax season, varies by the branch and day. I encourage you to search the online calendar on the library website yourself. Or call the library. Or drop in the library. They will be happy to help you find the most convenient place for you where tax help is offered.
