Hopefully your vehicle doesn't get broken into, property theft in a vehicle is a non-issue for KCMO. I had a stolen phone turn up on Facebook marketplace, buyer had seller contact info, couldn't even get the "detective" on the phone after 4 voicemails and 6 calls. Its a corporate device with monitoring, they couldn't be bothered to answer the phone.

The barricade at WB US 40 E HWY AT 435 FWY is misleading people, and causing people to drive into oncoming traffic! it is set up like a barricade would be if both ends were capped off and the barricade was allowing traffic for that street only to come in. The signs say "road work ahead" not "DO NOT ENTER. " I pulled up to the "barricade" (two road works trucks with flashing arrows leaving a big wide open lane to the left ) assuming that both ends of the highway were barricaded, but both ends of the street were not barricaded! There is no flag man , no police present ( that can be seen) and people are going around it DRIVING INTO TRAFFIC. About 1/8 mile down around the corner , there are a few patrolmen writing tickets from a motorcycle and car. How many people need to drive into oncoming traffic and land in the lap of patrol men that are NOT VISIBLE at the barricade ? Seems like making money is key in this situation instead of safety. How many people today have drove around that barricade into oncoming traffic? How many times did you write a ticket for someone driving into oncoming traffic in your cleavery constructed barricade? Ask Smith 05376. I have also called and reported this. It doesn't make any sense for your officers to hide past the barricade and continually allow traffic to head into oncoming traffic! If you know people are driving around it you have decision to make - either protect people and their safety by making it more clear what needs to happen at the ROAD WORK sign or stay 1/8 mile away raking in the money. Move up , save a life we don't pay you for this.

Contact your insurance company, and you should have contacted the police when it happened. Especially after you found out he didn't have insurance. You might call the nonemergency line at this point and ask the duty officer.
