Positive: I was not expecting the isolationism in a resort as this one. The bar didn't allow women in tank tops. 4th of July and nothing going on. This was very strange. Maybe people want someplace to go to get away from everything but that should be part of their Negative: amenities; isolation. There are homes nearby and a small shopping center. However, the 4th of July should be a celebration. This was totally unexpected. We were actually relieved when we received an emergency phone call and had to leave without staying.

Every hotel needs a staff member like Cynthia! From the moment of check in, to ensuring we got moved to a twin room , to helping figure out the tricky coffee machine to bringing us extra towels when the housekeeping staff kept only giving us two towels per room ( 3 of us in a twin). She delivered exceptional service with a smile each time! The views of the golf course and the course it self are immaculate, the gym is fully equipped and a work out fanatics dream! The pool was busy each time we went with kids or a class going on , but we really didn't mind. We enjoyed lunch one day too at the restaurant and I loved the views , the staff were all tentative, especially the bar guy in the morning. We had a great stay. 4 star only because the rooms were not cleaned or replenished regularly and when they finally did do our room, it was annoying to be in the shower and realize that we were short of towels each time!! Housekeeping needs to take a leaf out of Cynthia's book! Thanks for a pleasant stay!

While the front desk staff were all nice, housekeeping and maintenance weren’t great. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly from previous occupant, A/C didn’t work properly, the hairdryer, which they replaced quickly enough was broken (I was getting ready to go to a wedding) dirty linens weren’t picked up from floor, and the bed linens were scratchy- which I don’t usually even notice, so it must have been bad! Hubs played golf, said the course was nice. But be warned, you must wear a collared shirt and it MUST be tiled in!

The club is beautiful, the food was very flavorful. Some of the staff were pleasant and some were not. Not sure if it had to do with the club or the event planners but the event I attended was very disorganized.
