This is the second time we have used EcoChoice Attic Insulation to provide foam insulation for two separate projects in 2 years. This time, they installed foam insulation throughout the basement walls of our 80 year old house. Their sales person was thoughtful and timely, with great advice as we planned the insulation that we needed. Then their insulation team did surprisingly careful preparation work on the day they installed the foam insulation, protecting the areas not to be insulated and doing a VERY thorough job foaming the areas we needed insulating. Very professional.

This is the 2nd time I worked with this company. Again, the best quality of service, very polite as usual, always patient to answer your questions. This time during pandemic, everyone I worked with are still so professional, they keep thing tidy from beginning to the end. I can immediately feel the difference before and after. This company is great if you need to have attic insulated.

Without attic and crawl space insulation my house stayed hot hot hot in the summer and cold cold cold in the winter. I threw up a prayer to find an honest and fair priced company. My prayer was answered when I found the company Eco Choice Attic Insulation. I met with Daniel. He was on time for our appointment. He explained everything to me including the LADWP Rebate Program to recoup some of my costs. We scheduled the date to install the insulation. He showed up with his crew on time. Everything Daniel told me he was going to do he did. By the time his crew cleaned up it was like they had never been here. Not one piece of debris was anywhere to be found. I could not be happier with the work and the honest dependability I got from Eco Choice Attic Insulation.

I was very pleased with my experience with Eco Choice Attic Insulation . They were always prompt and on time. They were very courteous. They worked hard, quickly, and kept the place clean. It was easy to talk to them during all points, getting the estimate, scheduling, the work itself, etc. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone needing insulation work.

Insulation in attics and crawlspaces is often installed backwards. Not many people know that pink panther house/wall insulation can actually be installed backwards, but it can. Insulation should have its paper side installed toward the interior of the house. I think the reason it is commonly installed paper side down in crawlspaces or paper side up in attics is because it is easier to install. The problem is that the paper acts as a vapor barrier. Therefore, if installed upside down, the paper moisture barrier can keep moisture between the paper and the subfloor. This can lead to mold problems as well as structural deterioration. Also, paper is flammable, so not installing it correctly can create a fire hazard.
A dirty attic can pose a number of major problems for you, your home, and your budget. For starters, an unattended attic can become home to rats and rodents in addition to their droppings. Over time, this can lead to very poor indoor air quality, which in itself is a health hazard. These small animals can also damage insulation, pipes, air ducts, and cables, requiring expensive repairs.
If you do not enjoy the current temperature that you have during hot summers or cold winters and you feel like your light bills are really high or the need to have your HVAC system on most of the time, then it might be a clear sign of having your attic insulated to prevent all of the previous events.
If proper maintenance is not performed, the equipment's energy consumption will increase. To avoid this, clean the filters monthly and replace them every 3 to 6 months, depending on usage. In addition, it is necessary to clean the exchange coil of the outdoor unit with a soft brush, remove the drops from the condensate tray from time to time and keep the structure of the outdoor unit clean.
One of the signs of poor attic insulation and is pests. If you notice mice or bugs inside your attic insulation, you may need to replace it. Electricity bills higher than normal. Old Insulation. Moisture in the attic. different temperature zones. Contact us, we are true experts.
The attic is the part of a house that is most difficult to clean. Unfortunately, the attic is also more prone to pests and rodents. As a result, the attic can spread disease and pollute the air in your home. As a solution, hire a reliable attic cleaner to do the tasks you prefer not to do yourself. In this way, professionals address pest infestation and insulation damage before they get out of hand. Instead of spending weeks cleaning the attic yourself, a professional can get the job done in a matter of hours or days.
Whether you’re planning a weekend home renovation project, adding insulation to your attic, or making other upgrades to increase energy efficiency, doing it now will maximize the benefits for attic insulation.
Attic insulation during the summer helps reduce heat gain. This reduces your energy costs and makes your home stay cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and means lower energy bills.
The price associated with removing old insulation depends on the size of your attic, but don't forget about the expense associated with installing new attic insulation after you remove what's there.
Blown cellulose insulation is an effective & permanent solution. Fiberglass insulation lasts much longer because it does not degrade and will last up to 30 years. Blown cellulose insulation works great for attic insulation.
Attic insulation replacement will take one to two days, depending on how much old insulation needs to be removed.
The cost of an attic cleaning insulation project may vary depending on square footage and additional services.
If a one-time treatment is not working, then it may take longer than a couple of weeks to clear out an attic infestation with more rats and for larger buildings, it can take significantly longer than this to completely remove the rats during the attic cleaning.
It can take 4-6 hours, more or less in carrying out our attic cleaning service. We'll inspect your attic and only then can we quote you an expected time and cost range. Call us to learn more today.
Of course! One of the benefits of our attic cleaning service is that it cleans rodent feces and other wastes. Eco Choice is one of the best companies to clean such wastes within a budget.
Insulation removal should ideally be done in the summer or fall when your attic is cool and you can access all parts of it. A detailed attic cleaning is necessary once a year includes sorting through stored items and decluttering to remove dust and check for any problems.
To properly do insulation installation to a cavity wall, hollow drill holes are drilled through the mortar joint. Holes are generally 22-25mm in diameter, and they are ‘made good’ after injection. The process starts at the bottom of each hole first.
Generally, new wall insulation has a stapling flange on the facing side. For it to fit snugly, hold that part against the inside edge of the stud and staple if needed. Call us for an estimate on how much insulation installation will cost you in total.
Installing fiberglass or mineral wool insulation can be a simple project for those willing to do it themselves. However, this cannot be achieved with certain types of insulation such as spray foam insulation which always requires a professional. Contact us for insulation installation.
Insulation installation choices vary in cost, effectiveness, and ease of application. Aerogel insulation is best for fire resistance while mineral wool is effective but difficult to apply. Fiberglass insulation works well when applied correctly but may damage the home if not handled properly.
Insulation installation in your walls does not always require removing them. You can save time and money by cutting holes into the siding around the insulation rather than removing it. Use a hose to spray insulation from outside of your home, saving both time and energy expenditures for you and your family members.
The cost solely depends upon how much area has the insulation installed and what type of material was used in the insulation. Call us today to get a quote regarding costs.
The damaged cavity wall insulation material is removed as unobtrusively and cleanly as possible. Compressed air is blown into the cavity while an industrial vacuum collects the damaged insulation from the bottom of the wall through strategically removed bricks. The whole insulation removal process is complicated, hazardous and definitely not recommended to be tried out at home. Call us today to get a quote regarding costs.
This isn't something that we would recommend. Insulation needs to be removed when it is damaged or contaminated by a professional, because restricted airflow/ventilation may lead to growth of mold and mildew. Old insulation, contaminated insulation or decaying insulation may pose hazards to your health and indoor air quality. Insulation removal at home carries a lot of risks and that's why it's recommended to hire a professional to do the job. Call us today to get a quote regarding costs.
Yes, we do perform insulation removal from attics and walls. This is commonly needed before re-insulation or retrofitting, and we can take care of the entire process.
Unfortunately, attic insulation doesn't last forever. After about 15 years, homeowners should consider getting an insulation removal service done.
