I have had a medical problem for years and seen several clinicians with no help. First visit Dr. Guanche was able to locate and diagnose the problem and in a few months did surgery to fix it. He is on time, knowledgeable, kind, actually listens and hears what I am saying or asking, and involves me in the dialogue and decision making. The only problem is I live 2.5 hours from his office but it has been more than worth the time to see him.

Amazing from the start. I broke my hand on the softball field and called to make an appointment asap. Lauren W. Helped me get an appointment that morning with a doctor in Van Nuys who had an opening. All the staff, doctor(Auerbach), nurses etc were lovely and helpful. I met with his PA and she was great too. I had my surgery earlier today and I have to say KUDOS to everyone in that surgery center. I was extremely anxious but everyone was so sweet to me. Huge shout out to the anesthesiologist who did my arm nerve block. I was kinda freaking out but she kept me calm. The nurse at the end once I was waking up was lovely. I joked that I wished my husband knew how to braid hair. She offered to braid my hair for me. Just want to say thank you to everyone even tho I don’t remember all of your names.

Dr. Guanche is a very experienced orthopedic doctor. He explains everything in detail, spends a fair amount of time with me and has great bedside manner…he makes you feel he cares!

Every single instance of my attendance of SCOI PT has been some of the most miserable, gaslighting of my entire medical history. Which is unfortunate because I do enjoy the physical therapists I work with. But between scheduling staff over the phone and Dr. Gazmarian who has a history of infantalization as well as not putting in referrals; I've got 2 months without OT for a car accident because of SCOI errors. Physical therapists have suggested I break into affluent neighborhoods to use their pools. And the amount of scheduling issues I regularly have often lead me to wonder if the one who is actually crazy or if this company delights in making already struggling disabled people dance for their amusement.
