Love the store and am always in there, today though I had an extremely rude employee at the cash register and when I asked to speak to a manager she flat out refused. Ive never been treated so poorly at a place I spend hundreds of dollars at.

It’s really dirty in here. The floors look all ripped up, there were clothes all over the place. They had white shoes here too, and a lot of them had like brown stuff on them too. Gross

You can find some good deals here, but you have to take time and look for them. It's kind of like shopping at a secondhand store (though Gabe's items are new) because each department of the store is not well organized and it takes a lot of time to weed thru all the junk. The clothing isn't organized by size even though it's supposed to be. I'm not sure if they're short staffed or if that's just how it is. It's fun to shop there if you have time to spend searching for a deal.

As of the 2018 holiday season, this Gabe's location in Pottstown does NOT offer layaway. Certain stores in the retail chain are testing layaway programs in 2018, so it is a possibility that layaway may be available at more locations during a future holiday season.
I was there 2 weeks ago, I didn't see. Maybe, they have in their stuck now. You should go and check for yourself to be sure
I think some simple versions of sweepers, but not vacuum or irobot types
They sell a variety of things, including home goods. However they get new inventory in daily. Stop in and check.

Yes they are open. The only Holidays Gabes are closed for are Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
