This is a genuinely great beer bar. I lived in Riverside for a year and made the Brickwood my regular spot. It's a beer bar that has a bit of a coffee-shop vibe. The bar is setup for people to have long nights and good conversations. The bartenders are excellent, and really know their beer. Best beer bar I found in Riverside by far.

Nice atmosphere, good for what they specialize in (no mixed drinks). I believe they said their sommelier comes in weekly to update their wines. They have several nonalcoholic drinks to choose from as well

This place has more of a cafe feel than that of a brewery which I think is a positive. The decor is really nice featuring some steampunk style tables and a wide variety of different capacity tables that can accommodate virtually any size group. They have a great selection of craft beers from the U.S. and a separate case of beers from around the world. They offer flats so that you can sample 4 different beers instead of committing to just one.
