Had a very lovely experience with my visit today. It's been about 6 years since my last dental visit due to a very terrible experience somewhere else. I never got lectured or talked down to because of my absence which was truly appreciated. Sabrina who did my x-rays and scans was very sweet and gentle. The Dr (whose name I didn't catch) was excellent and efficient at her job. The gal who did the actual cleaning (whose name I also didn't catch) was so wonderful through the whole thing. She explained everything so clearly and made sure I understood. She gave wonderful recommendations to help with my gum problems. She was gentle with the actual cleaning which I really liked because I knew after 6 years there were gonna be some rough spots. I definitely look forward to my continuing care there and I can't thank them enough for being so kind and not judgemental at all! *Edit to add for military families* yes they are in network with United Concordia :)

Up until this point I have had incredible care at this dentist. Today, I began having a fever blister outbreak (which is on my medical record) unfortunately, this is the day before my dental appointment. I called to ask to cancel and was told I would be charged money since it is within 48 hours. I asked if she was sure because I wouldn’t want a hygienist or dentist exposed. I have had whitening service (paid out of pocket) and multiple dental appointments . If you or anyone you know has ever had fever blisters you understand how uncomfortable they are. It’s pretty cruel to ask someone to sit in the chair with fever blisters for a teeth cleaning. I’d rather attend my appointment and be in pain not to pay the fee I won’t return after this and won’t use their clinic again. Trust me I’d rather go to the dentist, since I took the day off work and have a lot of other things to juggle than rescheduling a dental cleaning. What a disappointment. Prior to posting this review I attempted to call receptionist because I could not believe this was the standard of practice. I wanted to rectify the situation since every experience before was wonderful. Even if our previous conversation she was rude. The second telephone call the front desk was argumentative, failed to listen and lied about what she told me (as if I wasn’t apart of the conversation). She then hung up on me when I attempted to repeat back what she actually said to me. I imagine the dentist does not yet know this occurred because she and the former front desk /office manager. We’re always so friendly and helpful. A tone of voice and listening goes a long way. Additionally, if as a front desk staff your unsure, it’s better to just say “I’m unsure if you will be able to cancel without a fee, let me find out and get back to you” Instead she said “well do you wanna just wait and see because it’s within 48 hours we’ll have to charge you” I thought I was being polite by calling today versus waiting until tomorrow ? It gives the office a chance notify other people who are looking for same-day or sooner appointments a slot to fill. No, I don’t want to wait and see how much my mouth will hurt Tomorrow it is is already uncomfortable today 😒 **Edit** approximately 1 hour after my negative encounter, Maria (not the individual I spoke with earlier) called and offered to allow the cancel without the fee. I choose this option, Truly when I get fever blisters it’s many and they hurt. Maria informed me the staff member said I cursed at her during our telephone conversation. Which, was a bold lie. We don’t curse in our home, and my children consider “frick” and “dumb” a bad word. Was I frustrated and did my tone elevate? Absolutely, it’s frustrating when your paying for dental care to be spoken over and down to. However, I absolutely would never curse at another human. Hopefully Crystal receives counseling/education on better telephone etiquette and redeems herself in the future. Not much integrity in the way she handled or lied today. Again this post is no reflection of DR. K or previous encounters with Maria.

Integrity Dental is a pleasurable dental experience and the warm staff makes you feel comfortable and well-taken care of. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Maria, the service by the Integrity Dental staff was top-notch. The wait time was short and the dental cleaning was efficient and thorough. I really liked the cool sunglasses they give you to protect your eyes from the blinding light. Dr. Erika Kullberg has a super bubbly and cheerful personality and is always smiling, putting you at ease while she's inspecting your teeth. I would give Integrity Dental two thumbs up as the best dental office in all of San Diego!!

Routine dental checkups and professional cleanings help ensure your smile remains in tip-top condition and that any developing problems receive the prompt care they require. While it’s a good idea to schedule a checkup and cleaning twice a year, longer or shorter intervals between routine visits depend on your specific needs.
