Best doctors and amazing crew at the ER. Received top-notch care with very little wait time. Many thanks to Dr. Danescu and Dr. Bowes and the fantastic team!

My Daughter had been to many hospitals especially in the last two years and Simi Valley Adventist has taken the best thuroufh care of her. They helped her when others wouldn’t or couldn’t and we highly respect the team of qualified doctors, specialists, and nursing staff.

Absolutely terrible experience after my visit to this ER. I was there for less than 30 minutes. a nurse practitioner saw me for less than five minutes, took my blood pressure, gave me three prednisone and sent me on my way after I'd come in saying I need a prednisone prescription for an allergy I was having. They charged me $1045 for the visit. I called to discuss the charge and someone in billing named Irma belittled me on the phone saying I should know that stepping in the door of the ER always costs more than $1000 and if I wanted a reasonable price I should have gone to urgent care. When I asked to be transferred to leave a review of my service, she wouldn't. When I asked to be transferred to another hospital representative, she wouldn't. She acted as though her phone was having trouble doing a transfer and eventually just hung up on me. I will never visit Simi Adventist again even though I've had three family friends work there in the past. I was one of two people in the whole ER so my entire visit could have taken 10 minutes if they didn't leave me sitting in a waiting room for most of it.

I'm so disappointed with the management and organization of this hospital facility. My father was hospitalized twice here, first in November 2021 and presently from March 24 2022-today) who was hospitalized for the same condition (vomiting constantly without reason). Both times he has been, he waited a ridiculous amount of time to see a doctor, to just be assisted for basic things. There is no logical protocol or system as there is no secondary specialist GI doctor available when the primary one is not around. We were told that "only on-call doctors are available over the weekend" which means these doctors are going place-to-place and patients are not given any clue as to when they will be seen. Despite being told he is a priority to figure out the source of his sickness, and that he would not be able to leave until they figured out why (since this was his second hospitalization within a few months for the same reason) he was prepared way in advance for a colonoscopy and endoscopy which is known to have a cumbersome and uncomfortable preparation. A whole day later, way past the time he was expected to be taken for the procedure (which could have been avoided had they had an organized system), the doctor was nowhere to be found. Communication seems to be a major downfall of this facility. As a result, my father became more stressed, putting even more pressure on him than he needs. I do not understand why this facility relies on one single specialty doctor. What would happen in the case of an emergency where that doctor is not available or like in our case, was not responding to calls? Who would hold responsibility if my father's condition worsens? Clearly patients aren't a priority here, and now my father will have to wait even longer to find out why he's been so sick. However, we are extremely grateful for nurses Jeff and Nick; they are both outstanding and took great care of my father working around the lousy hospital system. I hope management reads this and rethinks their system to improve things for everyone, especially the patients who ultimately suffer more having to wait. Lawsuit waiting to happen.

They will probably set up a payment plan. I put my E.R. visit on my credit card. But I don't think you would get turned away. Especially since you do have health insurance. Simi Adventist is a great hospital!!

Is this question about ER? If so depends on how many people ahead of you. What type of illness or Injury a person has. Or the seriousness. I had MRI, x-rays, shots, consultation etc.....I was there part of the day. I did not stay overnight. Hope that helps.
