Most of my trips on the Mirage have resulted in me coming home with at least a few vermillion rockfish among a limit of miscellaneous rockfish and that has always made me a happy camper. Except for a recent trip on May 13th, when high winds confined us to shallower cod spots with less of the quality rockfish that you'd find in deeper waters, I pretty much just caught blues and Johnny bass, though a few lucky anglers wound up with some vermillions. Before rockfish limits could be achieved, the captain wound up switching gears for whitefish in shallower waters. I have found the crew helpful and friendly everytime, I just wish the captain would concentrate on catching limits of rockfish instead of whitefish, which I could care less about.

Excellent crew, cook, and a good boat that sits low on the water and rides really well. Great time all the times I have fished on the boat!!

Awesome crew and a clean boat. They rigged up almost all the poles for us and before you had a chance to even get your catch off the hook someone was there to do it for you. They took great care of us, we will definitely be going out on the Mirage again ASAP!

Sorry Mr. Sang Kim but I don't see how your statement about the crew can be true!!! If you can not get along with THIS crew I will say you will have to look inwards for someone to blame instead of outwards. My son and I had a blast on this boat. We never once had to ask for help because Ryan and the crew was always there. My son's first time fishing and first time on an overnight boat and I can not rave enough about how helpful this crew was!! The entire boat caught their limit and my son is now hooked on fishing. The Mirage can add 2 more loyal regulars to their list. Thanks Guys!!!

Questions & Answers

The Mirage isn't booking any trips. Are the shut down again because of covid-19?

We are doing boat work as Jan and Feb are closed for Rockfish. This is our normal maintenance schedule. We will start to operate in March and should be posting our schedule on our website this coming week. Thank you!

Since the price has gone up and I know due to CV-19,is the limit on fish still the same? I've been going on the Mirage close to about 16 years in a row. Thank You 😷🐟

Hi Tommy, the increase in price is due to the drop in passenger load due to CV-19. The amount of fish you can keep remains the same as this is a state law. We thank you for supporting the Mirage and look forward to fishing with you again!
