In our experience government agencies are so swamped on the telephone that it's almost impossible to reach them. Are you on hold for a really long time or you just simply not able to get through?

Only if he WANTS help. It all starts with him. You're his mom and you love him. I know this department can help him with getting a job, but he has to do the footwork. Desire and motivation on his part along with support from real, non-using friends and family are his only hope to stay clean and to become a productive member of society. Sorry Mom, but you may as well let go now, and as they say, let God.

Call up the rehab. It might take some time to get set up. Each individual case is different they might be able to help you.
