We visited this location for a high school reunion event and had a really good time! The venue was laid out very well, and the decor was adorable. It was like being in a 1920s speakeasy! The staff were very friendly and attentive. I loved how the dance floor was a bit sunken, so you knew where it began and ended. Also, the brick walls throughout gives the place a nice, cozy touch. The only issue we had was the parking lot is quite small, and was a bit challenging to find a spot; however, once we did find a spot it was super close to the venue, so no need to pack your walking shoes! I'd attend another event here!

This venue was fantastic. We attended a friend's wedding here and it could not have been better. The entire staff was extremely friendly, attentive and all worked really hard throughout the night. The food was excellent (bruschetta, coconut shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, mini quiche, chicken marsala and prime rib). The venue itself was decorated nicely and the courtyard was perfect for the ceremony. My only complaint is the bathroom situation, especially for the men. The men needed to leave the venue and walk out to the front bar to use the restroom inside there.

I just had my wedding at this amazing place and it was beyond our expectations! Aside from this place being aesthetically gorgeous the staff is phenomenal and Libby is truly the Maxwell gem. She took care of our needs every step of the way, was helpful, responsive, patient, and made sure our day went just how we had pictured. This place is great for any event! It’s rustic, elegant and my guests were raving about its beauty! Book with the Historic Maxwell Room for your next event and I PROMISE you will not be disappointed! Because we are a restaurant ( The Historic Downtowner) as well as a private event space, with all seperate entrances (The Historic Maxwell Room) we do all onsite food and beverage. We do not allow outside food or beverage.
The Maxwell room is less than 2 miles from the beach. I might suggest the Sonesta Hotel.
Hi Ileana, Thank you for your interest in our Historic Maxwell room. The private venue fee is $600.You have the room for 4 hours. All your tables and chairs, all set with white linens.
