Before Covid, this was a place I tried to avoid at all costs. I came here after I burned my hand by grabbing wrong end of my 450 deg curling iron. Ended up leaving in tears dur to the extreme wait and rude clerical staff. Post covid, they close early and turned people away saying they were at capacity, three people were in the waiting area. Same night at Palomar ER, everyone was sitting next to ea other, less than a foot apart. And they do not service babies. Avoid. I'd suggest Palomar for minor injuries, TriCity for serious (short on time), and Zion for baby/infant urgent needs. Just my experience. This urgent care was ineffective, at best. Emailing my primary for test and prescription requests does 10x more, even if a week later. UPDATE 6/6/22 My experience was before COVID, not "recent". The response below I found impersonal and quite frankly, not sincere, only written for viewers reading my honest and accurate review. Kaiser isn't all its cracked up to be, at least in San Diego County. For instance, Zions ER wait time started "at 6 hours" 6/1/22, and the mental health clinicians are frequently overworked, frustrated at lack of administrative support, frequently complain about being understaffed, and ignored when requesting more staff to meet the minimum needs of patience. I’m at Kaiser now for a cough. Got here noon. Waited in the waiting room till 1:30 then asked the first station how much longer for the wait. The person said 30-45 mins longer and that since I have covid symptoms I needed to wait outside. So I go outside and I don’t see any chairs. Go back in and he said to wait in the white tent on the other side of the building or in your car, they will call me. Would have been nice to know that when I checked in. Anyway went outside to wait in the car. 45 min no joy 60 min no joy. Go to the white tent and talk to the waiting crowd. Take a seat in the tent and a nurse came by and asked if I was who I am. They tried to call me but no message, no call record. So anyway after almost 3 hours a nice nurse talked to me. Made me feel better. But I’m still not happy with the wait estimates and the waiting process. The other folks waiting had the same feelings.

San Marcos Kaiser Urgent Care was amazing today! I fell four day’s ago and couldn’t sleep because of the pain in my ribs. Thankfully the doctor today has given me relief, with the cream’s and medication to bring down my inflammation I feel I am finally going to have a good night sleep! Finally! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you staff, nurses, everyone that helped me thank you for your kindness and professionalism thank you!!

My sister has been waiting for hours and really sick. Others have been called in the waiting room and they came after us. Why are we paying so much for medical insurance for horrible service.
