Seemed old, which I guess it is. I went for a book that online, said was available. I couldn't find it so put a hold on it and will go pick it up at my preferred location.

Pros:. It's a library and the staff was nice. Puzzle laid out for people to collaborate on was cool. Cons:. No private study carols or rooms, no internet access, and it smelled very musty/moldy in the building. I got a headache within 10 minutes. :(.

The library was clean and had nice areas to be alone to research and study. They also have a nice book sale where you can pick up some nice reading materials in the 1st Saturday of the month

It’s exceptionally inconvenient that the system kicks you off of computers when there are open computers available for anyone to use. 1) Get more computers, 2) invest in some padded partitions for privacy and noise cancellation, 3) let people have unlimited time as long as everyone else has access to a computer. Today I had to quickly save all my work within 1 minute or I would have lost everything. I was at my daily limit so I had to round up all of my belongings and head to my nearest friend’s house to submit a report for work that was on a strict deadline. Wow. I cannot believe how archaic the system is. Very aggravating. Still submitted my report 2 minutes late. Thanks Swanson Library.

You can look up all the books they have available in the omaha public library website.
Book sales will resume when libraries reopen. Unfortunately, we don't know when that will be.
At omahalibrary.org you can browse books through the Explore option or search for books through the Catalog. Selecting books in each will tell you the availability and at which location.
In a search results list, place a hold by looking to the right of the title: Click on the green button with the words Place a Hold. If you’re looking at a title’s record: Click on the green button with the words Place a Hold on the right side of the screen. To see what you already have on hold: Click on the blue Log In button located in the upper right-hand corner Choose the Holds menu option under My Borrowing Log into your account if you haven't already Enable one-click holds for faster service! You can enable one-click holds by checking the box you see when you place a hold that says Enable Single Click Holds. Once you enable one-click holds, you will be able to place a hold in one-click as long as you're logged in. Please note: You can have 40 items on hold at one time. This includes any paused holds. You can also call any OPL location to place a hold.
