Seemed old, which I guess it is. I went for a book that online, said was available. I couldn't find it so put a hold on it and will go pick it up at my preferred location.

Pros:. It's a library and the staff was nice. Puzzle laid out for people to collaborate on was cool. Cons:. No private study carols or rooms, no internet access, and it smelled very musty/moldy in the building. I got a headache within 10 minutes. :(.

The library was clean and had nice areas to be alone to research and study. They also have a nice book sale where you can pick up some nice reading materials in the 1st Saturday of the month

It’s exceptionally inconvenient that the system kicks you off of computers when there are open computers available for anyone to use. 1) Get more computers, 2) invest in some padded partitions for privacy and noise cancellation, 3) let people have unlimited time as long as everyone else has access to a computer. Today I had to quickly save all my work within 1 minute or I would have lost everything. I was at my daily limit so I had to round up all of my belongings and head to my nearest friend’s house to submit a report for work that was on a strict deadline. Wow. I cannot believe how archaic the system is. Very aggravating. Still submitted my report 2 minutes late. Thanks Swanson Library.

Book sales will resume when libraries reopen. Unfortunately, we don't know when that will be.

Can I find a listing of all the books in the library? Where?

At omahalibrary.org you can browse books through the Explore option or search for books through the Catalog. Selecting books in each will tell you the availability and at which location.

I have several books on hold there and have been unable to get in...I will be there on Friday - weather permitting. Please don't put them back.

Not at this location. The nearest would be at Milton R. Abraham's Branch.
