I would not even give them a star if it was possible. I have been coming here for years And every time I deal with Taylor the office manager he is so rude and unprofessional there was a charge that was not explained and the way that he treated me was so unprofessional I can't even believe he is a manager. I would not recommend going here and if you do make sure that they explain the bill to you before you get a Charge in the mail for something that you didn't even know that you were going to have to pay because the staff did not explain it to you. Taylor really needs to learn what Customer services especially being a manager he does not represent vision source very well Dr. Johnson is great too bad he can't get a better office manager. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere and letting all my friends and family know.

I get my eye exams and contact refills at Kootenai Vision Center. They are respectful and helpful during the process, and are reassuring of your eye health concerns. They dont push you to buy things, yet kindly help you through every step of your visit.

So grateful to Dr. Robert Johnson and his staff! I have been a patient for over 15 years and have always been treated great. Today I showed up and didn’t realize I had the wrong time written down. The Dr came out and saw me and asked his staff to make sure they worked me into the schedule so I wouldn’t have to come back another time. I feel like my concerns and questions are always addressed and even though I know they are busy, the doctor never makes my appointment feel rushed. Thank you, Dr. Johnson and staff for being so great!!!!

Well organized, friendly office. Reasonable pricing, decent frame selection. Clean office. Got in right on time. In and out in an hour, very efficient. My first pair of glasses. Great experience!

Yes, Medicaid in Idaho covers eye exams for young people (before their 21st birthday, one per year, as well as any necessary glasses). But after age 21, Medicaid will only cover an eye exam for their insureds if the patient has some kind of eye disease or medical problem that affects the eyes - so things like cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, conditions like that. They don't consider astigmatism as medically necessary because it's an eye focusing problem, ie: correctable with glasses. And lastly, Medicaid doesn't provide glasses for patients over age 21.
We do on-site "edging" (cutting the lenses to fit into your frames). But we have to order the lenses in your prescription. That typically takes 2 days. So while we can't do same day, we can almost always do "same week". Hope that helps.
