I saw a story on tiktok about a dog that was thrown out of a car with his brother. I don't know the dogs ame but he is brown of color with a blue a d a brown eye. I saw that this organization adopted him. To give him a chance is awesome but for a shelter to take in another dog is beyond what I've seen o. The east coast. Great job guys. You all are amazing

We were actually on vacation, we put our baby 13yr old Chesapeake Baye Retriever down😞😞 4weeks ago and said we would rescue another dog someday 🙂 someone referred us here, and stopped by and asked for a medium female dog with certain trates and the first one they showed us was very nice. Showed us 2 more beautiful dogs, and we decided “Daisy “ the first one we looked at was amazing, but we wanted to see how she would travel in our truck with us 🤷♀️, We were on our way to the redwoods and they asked if we wanted to take her with us, because we would be coming back thru this area . So we took her for a ride to the redwoods with us, she did great, came back a few hours later and adopted her. Everyone at this humane society were amazing and the owner was great and “wow” she has a big heart. So Daisy drove 6 hrs home with us and did great🙂

The director and staff are the most amazing people. The animals and community are very thankful for them. They not only help/support people that forfeit their animals for whatever reason , they help with mild injuries when owners are in a bind, and they seriously put the word rescue into play. SCHS proactively and continuously seeks animals to bring to their facility that would otherwise be euthanized. They literally are saving animals lives. It’s good when a shelter is empty but It’s a good sign when it’s full because it means they are rescuing those that don’t have a voice. I appreciate Jen and her team so much. When we adopted our dog from here he got neutered and had severe inflammation, Jen just said here’s my number just text me. She works her butt off and deserves the best. Please consider adopting from SCHS and avoid any for profit entities.

Most productive & proactive shelter I've ever dealt with! The director actually drives to CA. and collects adoptable animals to fill any vacancies. That's where our amazing new dog "Bear" came from. The workers are friendly and helpful, taking the time to learn about the pets and the potential adopters in order to make good matches. Most reasonably priced shelter as well. Many workers wanted a "goodbye hug" from Bear - it was very apparent that they really cared. I definitely recommend this shelter to anyone looking for a new fur child. :)

Yes they do!!
YES!
Yes
They want people to check out their available pets online; through their website, or on Petfinder. When you find one that sounds good, you can either call during their business hours, or fill out & email the brief form on the website, to request/make an appointment to see the specific animal; so you need to have it's name handy.
They do
We have many dogs that would fit in a family with young children! Come see us Mon-Sat 12-5
I would suggest calling Jennifer Alcorn at the shelter.
Don't think they do shot's there when we have adopted there they sent us to Vet
No. I adopted a cool dog. Sorry.
No. They do take lost and found information,in case someone brings in your cat. You might want to go by and see if your cat is already at the shelter.
Don't know....when needed we go to Town and Country...very compasionate, gentle, loving people ..
I think the do..don't work there but do know that they try very hard to reunite furkids with their owners
they can probably help you, esp. since age is not a factor;usually small, young dogs are in demand
Well I have an application for thrift store clerk there but idk
