don't move here if you like shopping online. they make it extremely difficult to pick up packages. the hours are horrible for people who work full time like most Americans. Also the power went out during a snowstorm and NO communication from management for over 24 hours even to just reassure residents. Whenever it snows, the entire parking lot is a sheet of ice. Doesn't seem like they salt it. They said the parking lot expansion would be completed in 3 months, its now 5 months and not one piece of communication on the reason for delay or when it will be completed but they were quick to send us multiple notices threatening to tow our cars if we didn't follow parking rules. Editing my review from 2 yrs ago since they now have Amazon Hub which resolved the mail issue and parking lot is no longer an issue however elevator has been an issue and is very slow. Also the washers in the laundry room are disgusting. At my last apartment the guy who cleaned the laundry room was very diligent.

The town is great but I have some advise for people who wants to move to the Center Square Apartments. …Ms. Tikhonov, We are glad to hear that you are happy in your new living arrangement. However, we are disappointed in the misinformation posted about your experience with Center Square Apartments. This is the seconding time we are addressing your claims. All of the records about your residency is in your Tenant Portal. No one has manipulated any information. Upon move out, you were provided a disposition as well as pictures of the condition of your apartment. Furthermore, you had every opportunity to be present during the move out inspection. It is unfortunate that we could not meet your expectations, but there are several hundred residents who we continue to serve and are happy to call Center Square Apartments their home.

The town is great but I have some advise for people who wants to move to the Center Square Apartments. Be thorough during move-in inspection and take a lot of pictures. The apartment might look good at first glance but their contractors do not do a good job fixing things from previous tenants. The office staff is friendly for the most part. They flatter you until they hear you're moving out. You should know that, by PA law, you can sue your landlord for 3 times the amount they withheld wrongfully plus your lawyer expenses. They might not keep records of things they think could be in favor of the tenant. That's why when you complain about something in person or via phone, get it documented. Paper/emails, keep all of them, at least until they give your security deposit back. In my case, they had all records except my in-person complaint and the work that was done about it. Even their former property manager did not make a note in his annual inspection report that I had an issue with the apartment. I was able to find exact dates of when everything happened. But even after that, they said they had no records of any work regarding my issue. Make sure they provide work reports after it is done. I didn’t get any and should have asked. By the way, in the place I'm living now I get reports with a full description of repairs via email which I think is how it's supposed to be done. Never let them do a move-out inspection alone and always take pictures after you vacate the apartment. I have never had a pet but they found bleaching stains and claw markings and didn't even take pictures (updt: they didn't take pictures where I could see the stains and markings). When I was reading people's bad reviews, I had doubts about stories on carpet cleaning charges after the carpet was professionally cleaned by a tenant. Now I believe them. Packages get stolen everywhere, and this place is not an exception. The ladies in the office are not going to help you because it's not their responsibility. The best they can do is double check the mailroom. A few words about the thermostat. My apartment was kind of cold because there were quite big spaces in the wall around the AC. Sealing them helped a little but didn’t solve the problem. The thermostat was oddly placed on the external wall while it's supposed to be on the internal. It didn't really show the temperature in the apartment but rather outside. So it was messing with the heater which kept turning on and off, or was always on when it wasn't needed. Here, you don't pay electric bills through your PICO account. They post all bills (which are an environmental fee, sewer, water, electric) in your tenant portal. Some people might find it convenient but I'd rather do it through PICO. Added: The owner is not the one who does inspections and keep records of work requests. Their view is based on the records their employees made/didn't make years ago. So, it's their records (or lack of it) vs. my experience as a tenant.
