I was fortunate enough to experience positive outcomes with TWO ANTERIOR total hip replacements that occurred within 3-1/2 months* by Dr. Alexander Sah. In addition, Dr. Sah’s physician assistants, medical assistants, front & back office team, and Washington hospital’s staff provided excellent service; they reassured me of a positive recovery throughout the entire process. Much to my surprise, the rapid recovery went more smoothly. I can’t thank my good fortune for this experience. The Avanos Game Ready icing/compression machine, the comprehensive binder, the highly responsive staff and Dr. Sah’s personal follow-ups after each surgery were important components to my successful recovery. Honorable mention for truly unparalleled care: Dr. Agarwal, Dr. Barry, Jaki Ignacio, Joseph Gomez, Meena Mistry, Petra Nicolas, Chanel Corrales, Laurie Machuca, Alisa Curry, Isma (Phelebotomist), Christine D. It takes a village. #yearoftitanium

I feel so lucky to have had my left knee replaced by Dr Sah and his team . The complete team is amazing , professional and always there if you have questions. At 69 years old I NEVER had such a incredible medical experience. Yes knee is doing GREAT after just one month and in 3 months have the right one done . REALLY after just a few minutes of the first visit you could see their concern to get you pain free and back to normal . My wife , family and ME thank them from the bottom of our hearts......... Papa back to walking , back to going to the beach , football games , etc . THANK YOU TO DR SAH AND TEAM ❤

Dr Sah is a not only a skilled surgeon, but a compassionate and attentive doctor. He really cares how his patients are doing and personally calls them to follow up. He uses the latest technology, supported by a great medical staff. I couldn’t be more pleased with my hip replacement, and highly recommend Dr. Sah!

Rarely do I take the time to write a review ...but I have been so completely blown away by Dr. Sah that I really want to spread the word about this superstar Surgeon! He is amazing professionally and personally! I have been a physical therapist for 32 years in the Bay Area. I have seen and worked with the best of the best outpatient surgeons and doctors ...and never have I interacted so comfortably and honestly with an orthopedic surgeon. Now, over the last few years, I have seen and referred multiple patients to Dr. Sah for hip, knee replacements and second opinions. My patients are always so impressed and relieved to find such a conscientious surgeon. Dr. Sah studies your case carefully giving you his professional opinion and the choices he sees you have going forward. His staff is efficient and always personable. Dr. Sah actually LISTENS to you. He takes his work seriously and factors in not only what's going on with your body physically...but also who you are and what your personal goals and needs may be. You feel SEEN AND HEARD. He takes the time with you despite his incredibly busy schedule. I was surprised and touched a few days later to receive a HAND WRITTEN letter by Dr. Sah. It was a gracious thank you note with words of encouragement! Who does this?!? It touched me so deeply to think someone like Dr Sah who is incredibly sought after as a surgeon, always making sure he is on the cutting edge of technology, attends and leads speaking engagements, studies and writes professional progressive medical articles for journals, and has a family of 5...would TAKE THE TIME to hand write a letter to his new patients! WOW! Going forward, I, myself, had a knee replacement in Nov 2021 with Dr Sah. He called my husband personally right after surgery to assure him all was well. His colleagues, assistants and nursing staff were all so professiinal and kind. I felt very cared for and attended to while in the Joint Replacement division of Washington Hospital. Despite the fact that my pre op and post op appointments were often with his colleagues, Dr. Sah called me himself AS WELL to check on me weekly... up to 4 weeks post op. I was so impressed and felt like he really made sure I knew he cared about the outcome of surgery. Though my personal goal was an aggressive one (I was able to ski for a week 3 months after my knee replacement), I felt supported and encouraged by Dr Sah completely. He is a very progressive Surgeon, whom matched my needs completely. If you are considering a hip or knee replacement...or need a second opinion...or are unhappy with a replacement you've already had by another doctor and want to consult another surgeon...you will not be disappointed with this fabulous human being. DR. SAH IS ONE OF A KIND!
