I have been kayaking and paddle boarding at a lot of place but this is the first time where a company allowed me to bring my dog. They even had dog life jackets. The smallest they had was a little too big for my shih tzu. Over all great experience. Appreciated they were flexible returning a little late. The current going back was a little strong which was why we went over on time.

Staff here is friendly and helpful. Found a small life vest for my daughter to wear and made sure we were able to get a rowboat despite not having a reservation and helped me setup my trolling motor since I hadn't used it before. The fishing here is great. Only complaint is i wish the place were cleaner there is a lot of trash off the trails

A wonderful oasis off the intersection of the Capital Crescent Trail and C&O towpath. During peak season, rentals are available for canoe or kayak on the Potomac. Otherwise, take a moment to sit and reflect by the river or take a stroll along either trail. For those more adventurous, just a few miles south and one can grab a coffee in Georgetown or walk along the promenade to catch a glimpse of the JFK performing arts center.

Awesome rental place! Lots of rental options and the price was not bad at all. Beautiful area to spend time on the river. Staff was super friendly as well! My partner and I rented a double kayak for an hour and had a blast!!

Go for it!
Yes. There is plenty of parking at fletchers cove, beside the canal. Also note that to get to the actual parking you have to drive inside thru a lil tunnel, near the boat rental.
No. You have to bring your own motor and it can only be used with the Row Boats. There's a small divit on the back that allows for an electric trolling motor or a gas powered motor.
Yes!
They say one or two a month is safe, check the guts when you clean it
I've launched several kayaks and sups from there...dont have any sort of tickets. Many people launch there, only restriction is you can't use the rental dock area to launch...
Yes and they sell everything you'll need (except your pole) at the boathouse
I would error on the side of caution and recommend that you get one. You will drift between DC, MD, and VA waters so its better safe than sorry.
