I went here with some friends to get my rook pierced, and did not have a very good experience. The piercing did not immediately go through causing the piercing to be 10 times more painful than it was expected to be. Also, not even 2 weeks …Hello, Morgan! We really enjoyed having all of you in the shop and it was such a fun time! I am so sorry to hear about your experience none the less. I did explain to you how tight of an area that is and how we do have to go slower to be sure not to accidently stab other parts of the inner ear and cartilage is bone at the end of the day, so I do apologize for any pain you may have experieced. Unfortunately what you were told is not even possible with a rook piercing. If it was not pierced through thoroughly the jewelery would not have even gone through your rook and we would not have even been able to appropriately place the jewelry in. A professional piercer would also never tell you to remove jewelry this soon in the state you described it, in fear of other underlying issues such as infection. I wish you would have just come in or gave a call and we could have assed the situation and given a full refund if you feel the services you recieved were not up to the quality done on your friends. Sometimes other piercers will take any opportunity to down talk another piercer to gain a client and may have made the situation look much worse. We could have saved the piercing from having to be removed and figured out what the real problem was. I have been piercing for seven years and have never had a problem like this with a rook, especially as the other piercer has explained it to you. Because of the sensitive nature of the piercing if even a dab of the wrong hair product or improper sleeping habit effects the piercing it would be swollen and irritated. If you would like to come in so we can take a look at it or if you have removed the piercing prematurely and would like a refund we would be happy to accommodate your needs.
