Avoid this apartment at all cost. This apartment is in disrepair. Elevators are offline for “maintenance” for weeks without end. The carpets are stained and smell like the old domestic LAX terminals. They won’t replace anything that goes missing in the apartment complex. Gym TV goes missing, must be impossible to replace. None of their security cameras work, so what is the actual point? Tenants cannot take out their own garbage, you must pay $15 a month for somebody to remove the garbage for you. Even though there are functional garbage rooms with shoots. Management obviously doesn’t care and you shouldn’t even think about this place when looking for an apartment in the east bay.

This is the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. The staff is unprofessional, and the building is poorly managed. The inside and garage area is constantly filled with rotting trash, and the leasing agent (Amanda Arnold) will lie to your face and consistently cheat you out of money. While living there, my girlfriend and I felt unsafe due to high levels of crime near the building and even inside the building itself. Additionally, we actually had to call the police against a member of the maintenance staff (Rob) due to harassment (the staff member attempted to fight me, a guest, and my girlfriend during our move out). The same staff member overcharged and ripped us off during our move out inspection. Again, the building management refused to address any of these issues. We ended up breaking our lease just so we could leave this horrible place. We only lasted 4 months in this terrible apartment.

Pretty disappointed to learn we're expected to maintain our own fixtures in our apartments. Haven't lived in an apt before where we're expected to service these things ourselves. Surprised since I'm sure I wouldn't be allowed to take these items with me when I move out, which is why other buildings incur the costs to maintain their own property. (Updated) Just learned that to go month-to-month they are raising my rent by 42% (from $2136 to $3033). If I signed up for an additional 13 months it would still have been raised by $300. The worst part is my lease ends April 17 and they 'drafted' the letter explaining all of this on April 2. Then instead bringing to my door (or mailbox, or locker) it was mailed adding an additional 3-4 days. No part of this seems ok. All to say this made my decision on my next moves much easier. Planned on staying here for 3 more months while my home is being built, but a whole house rental on AirBnB sounds like a better way to go!

I liked the experience of staying there, minus the location/Tennyson area. However, they messed up the experience in the end by forging false Gas/Water/Miscellaneous invoices to purge my security deposit, I made sure to pass my inspection with no damages and also cleaned the apt before leaving and always paid my rent on time. They will NOT give your security deposit back, please DO NOT rent with them. They don’t value good renters who make sure to keep clean apt, pay on time, and pay PG&E directly for Gas/Water. It’s pathetic that Greystar has to purge Renter’s security deposits to make a profit. When asked about providing invoices from PG&E they didn’t bother responding, I’ll be filling a case in small claims consumer court.

I am a resident here, not the manager. I strongly suggest you contact the manager. In the future, BART across the street has FREE parking Saturday and Sunday ALL DAY and from 3 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Friday. You might want to ask people, including myself to meet you downstairs when you arrive. Explain the reason why. The tow company here is VERY agressive and I think they do not pay close attention on who is legally parked and who is not. I hope this helps.
