Okay, but just okay. It was probably just my expectation wad too high. I was thinking about the fired oysters they once had, but they’ve removed that from the menu long time ago. So I had the fired chicken and strawberry lemonade. The lemonade was awesome on balancing the sweet and sour flavors of the drink, but there isn’t anything about the chicken that makes me happy. Even the mashed sweet potato has more flavor than the fired chicken itself. The service and environment is good. It’s okay to try once.

My husband was a chef near New Orleans and we collectively lived in the area for several years. This restaurant is the first time I’ve tasted soul food that properly transported me back to that beloved city. It all tasted as it should and then some. Will be coming back many times. New favorite place!

I’ve always loved their ribs, and the kids loved them too—a bit on the salty end. It really depends on the mood of the kitchen that day. 4/5. The buttermilk fried chicken was actually buttermilk fried chicken “strips”😅maybe it’s a regional dialect, but I felt betrayed when I saw the strips. It didn't taste bad, but definitely no fried chicken. 2.5/5. This was my first time trying their catfish po-boy, and It was pretty bland, bland fish with a little shredded lettuce and not enough sauce to elevate the flavor. 2/5. Also, definitely skip the potato salad side. 1/5. Hushpuppies were delightful, with great texture and excellent taste. 4.5/5. Super friendly staff, but service was ok, it wasn't too busy, but it took the servers a long time to come by, even though they had quite a few servers. The person sitting next to us had to chase down a server just to pay the bill.

This place is 🔥! Try the fried chicken, Voodoo shrimp, and jambalaya. They are all filling dishes. The red beans and rice and hush puppies are fantastic. Hush puppies a little salty, but still stuffed them down! 🤣😂🤣 The beignets are fantastic and great with coffee. Thank you Angeline's for the fantastic experience!!!
