In a city of beautiful Catholic Churches this one is a real gem. The Italian immigrants came to New Orleans and were given an 1826 chapel used for funerals during epidemics. When they got established they built this church right out of Florence. Put it right on the main St. (Canal St) They had arrived.

Lovely early 1900's Catholic church, great wedding venue, take the trolley up 20 minutes from the French Quarter for $1.25.

I went to school at St Anthony's in 1961. We moved to South Carolina and haven't been back. Is there still an elementary school at St Anthony's?

Only on Sundays at nine in the morning. If you have English class after Sunday mass this Sunday is the last day of the classes that will resume until September. Good day.
