There could be no assisted living facility that has a staff that cares more about their residents than Heights Crossing. This has always been the case, but became ever more apparent during these challenging COVID-19 days. The love, the care, the concern and dedication of the staff and management is extraordinary. Our mom knows how lucky she is to be a resident at this special place. We, her children, are so grateful.

Questions & Answers

Do you require visitors to conduct a Covid-19 health screening?

Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021
Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021

Yes. We are still requiring visitors to have their temperature taken and answer some questions about whether they have a fever or have traveled out of state recently. We also are still requiring masks in our common areas. We will continue to abide by government recommendations, but as they ease up on restrictions, such as the mask mandate, we will change our rules too. Good news though - the vast majority of our residents have been vaccinated. So, we consider our community to be an extremely safe place to visit and live!

What is the neighborhood like where you are?

Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021

We are located just off Rt 24, on the Stoughton line. It’s very convenient to get to. Despite our location right off a main road, our building is nestled amid natural surroundings and beautifully landscaped grounds with a neighborhood feel! Also, we are in a senior living campus setting with Bay Pointe Rehabilitation Center next door. They offer short term and long term nursing care. This is great for our residents who want to stay in this location should they need rehab services after a hospital stay or long-term care in a nursing home. Also it’s good for couples who have different care needs, now or in the future. They can continue to be close to each other making visiting super easy.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we allow cats only.

Do you have a minimum stay? I need a 5-day stay for my mother while I go out of town.

Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021
Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021

Unlike most assisted living communities we have NO MINIMUM length of stay. So, YES, we can absolutely accommodate your Mom! Many seniors have stayed with us through the years for short-term stays when their families are away on business or vacation, or when someone comes out of the hospital but needs some additional care and specialized services. People even move in for a short time (a couple of weeks or a month) to ”try” out living here - just to make sure they really like it before they commit to a permanent move to make Heights Crossing their new home.

Are there apartments available for rent now?

Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021
Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021

We usually have a few apartments available for rent. Just call and ask for our Director of Community Relations and they can let you know exactly what type of apartments we have (studio or one-bedroom), and also whether we have available apartments in our Assisted Living neighborhood or our secure Compass Memory Support Neighborhood for those with dementia.

My Mom is on oxygen - would you accept her?

Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021
Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021

Yes! People often assume that Assisted Living communities cannot accommodate people on oxygen or who have other medical needs. You might be surprised at how many people can live here - those who are in wheelchairs, those who need special diets to manage hypertension or diabetes, or those coming out of the hospital who need individual attention and personal care. We also bring in specialized services and care for residents and those staying with us short-term - like PT, OT, speech therapy.

Do you accept financial assistance programs?

Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021
Heights Crossing Assisted Living | Sep 2, 2021

We are private pay. However, if you have long-term care insurance that will help reduce the monthly cost. We also accept the Veteran's Aid & Attendance benefit for veterans and their surviving spouses, which can provide over $1,000 toward the monthly rent. To be sure that everyone who is eligible gets this government benefit, we put new residents in touch with our partner, Elder Resource Benefits Consulting, who guides them through the process and all the paperwork for free. Finally, some people do opt to share an apartment with a roommate and that also brings the cost down. Give us a call to learn more!

Thank you for your interest in Heights Crossing. While the cost listed previously is a good representation of what the average resident would pay for a 1bd in our assisted living community, there are some factors that can vary the monthly cost, such as apartment size, location and layout, as well as the level of care and support a resident may need. For the most up to date information on services, amenities, pricing and availability, please call our Director of Community Relations, Kathy Hermanson at 508.580.4300.
